-I had bought those velcro bands that your children can wear as bracelets and there is a place on the inside for our cell phone number, resort, names, etc. My DS3 refused to wear his, he ripped it off his wrist before we ever left the hotel room. I saw another family at MK that day who must've had a handful of a son like mine: they had put a large mailing label on his BACK, with their name, hotel, and phone number. Same idea that we had, but it was in a place that was easy to find for the CM who found him if he got lost, and also the toddler didn't even know it was there, so he couldn't remove it.

There are also some indestructible ID bracelets that I didn't know about before my trip...they stick with adhesive and DO NOT come off until a grownup snips them off! Here's the link:

-Fanny packs really work! I had never used one before, they looked soooo dorky to me, but dang if they don't work! They are about the handiest invention to come around in a long while! Just perfect for room key, park tickets, my sunglasses and a little cash. I'm not worrying about looking dorky anymore! Gimme that fanny pack!

-I did not let my bra straps show enough to be considered fashionable. What is with fashion these days?? Every single female I saw seemed to have the kind of top that has itty bitty straps, but with big thick bra straps sticking out! What's up with that? Does no one wear strapless bras anymore lol?

-I panicked at the end of my trip when I realized I hadn't done Haunted Mansion and Pirates of Caribbean!! And only ONE Dole Whip?? My next trip, I'll need an extra dose of MK to make up for that!

-We came home on a Friday, which actually turned out really well. That way, we had 2 whole days to rest and recuperate and do laundry before heading back to work and school.

-Bonine works great for motion sickness. I took one every morning on park days and I didn't have any motion sickness at all! I usually get it bad on ride simulators, roller coasters, Dumbo, you name it.

-I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Disney's cameras are all screwed up. I looked like a big fat whale in my ride photos! That's not me, I swear!! Their cameras must add 50 pounds or so, I'm not kidding!

-EE ROCKS!!!!!!!!

I think that's it for now. Hope some of my thoughts helped someone out there!

trip plan......no haunted mansion......geesh......you just have to go back.......I only did Rock and Roller Coaster once and I know that I have to go back again.......Your thoughts are fantastic.....and I think that someone will use your tips.......NOW about the fanny packs and looking a few more pounds on the photos.....you are soooooo right.....I loved my fanny pack and when we came home I thought ..something is missing around my middle.......lets blame those packs on the extra look of weight.....thanks again

Another one who is lost with the fanny pack and I know what you mean about cameras adding weight to all of the pictures - thanks for posting!

:D Thanks for the fun report! You had me cracking up about the cameras being screwed up -- so true. I also resisted the fanny pack but it is just so convenient I don't care how I look wearing it. Hope you get to go back soon.

Thanks for the great tips! And the great reports!

Thank you about the bra straps! LOL! I just can't understand how showing your bra straps under some skinny spaghetti straps is considered remotely fashionable! Of course I don't get showing off your thong underwear either, I guess I'm getting old:rolleyes:

well..i dont get it either..but maybe the girls/women who wear the tiny strapped tanks with bra straps..is because strapless are a pain! They dont stay up..reguardless of boob size, even the ones with rubber on the cup..its quite a hassle to look good..so most people just opt to look infashionable.

hehe, I learned about the advantages of fanny packs at a very young age. On a camp trip to Disneyland when I was 8, my mom had given the counselors my $15 towards souvineers. We had thought they would hold on to it for me while we were in the park....wrong! They gave it to me to carry once we got there. I had nothing to put it in so I wrapped the envelope in my shirt. Of course, I lost it pretty quickly and didn't get to buy anything that year. For the following summer, mom bought me a fanny pack, and I've worn one to the parks ever visit since!

No HM or PotC, you've missed half of the experience. Just joking. Great to see that you had fun. I agree about the photo's, I stopped looking at them long ago. Lastly, bra straps, I must be getting old as I am taking the school disciplinary strategy, if you can see them then you need to wear something that will cover them up or don't wear the bra.

I thought everyone knew that WDW cameras add AT LEAST 30 lbs to you in photos. Honest. It's true!:o

My black leather fanny pack is always a vacation must ... the kids would wear one when they were little, but are now way "too cool". They don't mind wearing the family backpack though, so their extra shirt, sunglasses, etc. go in there and NOT in my fanny pack which has everything we cannot afford to lose (e.g. tickets, credit card, money, etc.).

Want to look "more hip" in a fanny pack??? Go buy a Louie, or a Coach one. They have a really cute coach one...except for that kind of money...i expect to carry around alot more than my keys and park ticket...it was way too small for anything...but it looked REALLY COOL!!

LOL!!

Great observations!! Thanks for sharing!

As far as the Fanny pack, that's my big trip planning event, purchasing "just the right one" for each WDW trip. Very important, I also try to get one a little manly, so that if it needs to be done, one of my many men will still wear/carry it!

LOL! I thought all cameras add 30 pounds, as does video.

As for the pack -- I love mine. It's industiral size and can hold a bunch of stuff. I bought one for my dd (5 1/2 at the time) when we went to WDW. She was able to carry her own autograph book, pen and some snacks, along with a juice pouch. It was so nice to not have to carry all that stuff for her.

::GRIN:: Thank you for giving me the giggles, hunnypotmama! Not too long ago I was shopping for one of those elusive strapless bras, and when I had to ask the sales lady where they were (and I was blushing as red as a lobster, no less!) she gave me look that made me feel like I was Captain Luau from Planet Weird or something. ;-)

On a related note, Victoria's Secret came out with clear-strap bras last year, and they look awesome to me. Unfortunately they seem to come in only two sizes: Smaller and Even Smaller.

But I digress! Thanks for the tips! :D
