Some in party not on the DDP, not staying on property...

Okay, so I have 2 different scenarios here...

First, we're most likely staying on property (and hopefully doing the DDP), but it's highly possible some of our family will stay off property and just buy park tickets...Can I make dinner reservations (180 days out) for all of us, even though some are not staying on property?

Second, if we do DDP, and obviously our family staying off property is not on the DDP, can we still have a reservation together? I've heard everyone dining together has to be on the DDP? Can we do a split bill so my family is on our DDP, and my husband's parents pay for their own?

What if we all stay on property...my family does the DDP, but my in-laws decide not to...how would reservations/dining together work then?

Not sure on the guest one for all places. I believe you can make dining reservations for all but not 100% sure.

Now it won't matter off site vs on site the whole group will be able to eat together. You just need to let the server know who is on the dining plan and who is not so they can split the bill.

Yes, you can make ADRs for any number of guests that you want whether staying on site or not, in fact no one needs to be staying on site at all.
When there you just need to let the server know who is on the DP and who is not.

Yes and no. You can make reservations for whatever party size you want, so you should be able to make reservations that include the folks not staying onsite with you. However, if you're asking about making a reservation somewhere for them and then making another reservation at a different location for your family for the same meal time, that is less likely because the system will not allow you to have more than one reservation without some amount of time of each other. In other words, you can't have a 7:00 pm reservation at restaurant 1 and then a 7:30 pm reservation at restaurant 2.

As the PP said, yes you can mix and match payment methods at any given meal. At the start of the meal, let the server know who is on the DDP (in this case, your family) and who is not and they'll bring you separate bills. The requirement about everyone being on the DDP refers to your room reservation (i.e., the resort package) and not individual dining reservations.

It is worth noting that at any given meal you can mix payment methods (regardless of who is dining with you). Just tell the server who wants to use the DDP and who is not and they'll separate the bill. This is great option if you are planning any 2 credit meals or want to stretch out the credits. You can pay OOP for the less expensive meal and "save" that credit for later (i.e., a more expensive meal).
