Just got home from our epic Christmas trip. First off, the crowds were MUCH better than I thought they'd be! Wait times on the app today seem much worse than they were over the weekend.

CL at GCH was excellent. So happy we chose to do this. The park view was nice but I think next time I'd be fine with standard view CL. We utilized the heck out of lounge and their food and beverage service. It saved us a lot of $.

I booked the VIP Tour on Saturday and I must say, while there was some great conveniences, it certainly didn't "ruin all future trips" for me like I worried it might. All in all, the value just wasn't there for me. Our guide was nice but wasn't as interactive with my kids as I wanted and requested. And then, sadly, the fireworks were cancelled after we settled into our amazing VIP seats right in front of the castle :(

We did Breakfast with Santa at Catal in DtD and it was so well done and such a cool experience. Santa was beyond amazing with my kiddos and the whole thing was just perfect. Loved it and highly recommend it!

The lights and atmosphere and music and all that was really special and I'm glad we chose to experience the holidays at the resort.

Was at DLR this weekend as well. I’d agree about the crowds. Saturday at Disneyland wasn’t bad and yesterday at DCA was even lighter crowds. Used MaxPass bot days and got in all the headliners plus lots of other rides. We too were disappointed with the fireworks not happening on 12/16. Though I don’t think they had fireworks on Sunday either. Looking at the app today seems like higher crowds and shorter hours. Glad you had fun.

Glad the crowds were doing well for you. Sorry about the cancellation of the fireworks. I've almost given up all hope on DL fireworks. Just too unpredictable. For F! and WOC, we'll wait in line, even though you get crumby seats without a meal plan, but at least you know they'll happen. But with fireworks, it's become almost 50/50.

Certainly fireworks during Santa Ana wind season carry a big risk of being cancelled. When visiting during Santa Ana season, always have a plan B so that you have something to go for as soon as you hear the "due to winds at higher elevations..." announcement.
