Some basic questions......

On the Deluxe Dining Plan, I understand that you get a non-alcoholic beverage. What does that include or does it depend on the place? A diet coke, a water or can you get a virgin daquiri if you wish?

How long, in general, are table service meals? I am assuming it may depend on the place as well as if it's lunch versus dinner. I have a toddler, although she loves going out to eat and does rather well, she still...is a toddler. We are on the DxDP and do have many table service places that I was wondering, will this be too long for her?? For dinner, we have Narcoosse's, Kona, Cali Grill, Spoodles, Biergarten, Flying Fish, Hoop Dee Doo (which I'm guessing she'll love this). I just was wondering.

Lastly, do you need to inform your server prior to ordering that you are on the DxDP? And when you go to pay, do you use one card (say, DH's) or everyone's cards??

Not sure about the virgin drink. But you can do coke, water, coffee tea.

The table meals depend on you. You can make them as long or as short as you feel like. We do a lot of buffets with the girls since they are little and we can make them quick.

Your server will usually ask you if you have the dining plan so they can explain what you get.

as for the drinks it would depend on the place I know at 50's prime time-- you can get a milk shake as your drink, or a coke with a shot of cherry, and other options, i believe LeCellie, Coral Reef, Liberty tree Tavern -- also lets you good other options besides a soft drink/coffee/Tea-- is what they will do normally when you sit at the table they will ask you " are you on the dinning plan"? and then they will ask it its deluxe-- and will give you your drink options first-- and then your appetizers options, specials etc I think that the table service meals take longer for dinner-- but during lunch you can get in a out failry quickly, and buffets would be even faster--at the end of your meal they will ask for one card from each room so you can use your DH's card-- and it will deduct all meals-- and will meal a remaining balance of your meals for your reference-- if you have any other questions i am happy to help feel free to message me

It varies from place to place. My teenagers had milkshakes and virgin daquiris some places. Be careful with the bottled water--some places charge for a huge bottle. Can't remember where--sorry.

Meal times vary. We did table service exclusively. If you stay on top of the wait person you can get in and out, but not sure it will ever be done in less than an hour at table service. It's just a lot of food to get through. That said, you are doing a fair number of higher end places and I don't know about them. My teens still love the character meals so we do a lot of those.

Here's something I learned the hard way due to an inept travel agent...if you are all on one disney trip reservation all of the meals are in one big bucket, so to speak, so all meal credits are on every KTTW in your party. You need only give one KTTW card to the wait person and in fact, don't give the wait person both your KTTW card and your GH's card or you'll get double deducted. If, however, you have say, one disney trip ressie with the Dad and one child, and a separate disney trip ressie for the Mom and another child, then Mom and Dad have completely separate KTTW cards with only half the meals (all done w/o explaining the potential problems to me just so the travel agent could bump up her sales figure for her employer). In that case we sued Dad's KTTW card till all the meals were gone and then we switched to mine. A few places were sticklers and made us use both cards at the same meal. I understand their point of view, but what a pain the butt for us.

When your wait person greets you at your table inform him/her that you are on the DxDP.
