Some AAA insight needed

I am staying at POFQ from 10/6 to 10/12. I was informed by my rep that there is no AAA rate at that time at that hotel. Does this sound right. I hope not, the only reason I got AAA was for the discount.

That happened to me a few years ago. I called as soon as the new rates were released and could only get AAA rates for only 3 days of a 10 day stay. I was told that all the new AAA rates may not have been put into the system yet. Sure enough, a few days later I called and was able to get the rest of the days I needed at the AAA rate. Keep calling, I think you should have a good chance of getting the AAA rate for your dates.

If you're talking about October of 2007 -- It's entirely possible that the AAA discounts are all gone for those dates at that resort. POFQ is much smaller than the other resorts. Fewer rooms -- and fewer rooms with AAA discount. If you are open to staying at another resort, you could ask the rep whether the discount is available at POR, CSR, etc. When I made my ressie for November, the AAA discount was not available for POFQ but was available for POR.

If you're talking about October of 2008, then it could be the same situation that KLL described. Possibly the AAA discount hasn't been announced, or the rooms haven't yet been allocated.
