Solo WDW:Avoiding a Divorce when NDH Goes Hunting thru Bday and Anniversary Upd:1/14

Found out one of my teen girls from church and her family are going to be down there Sat -Tues while I'm there...so I told her to call me and see where I was and what I was doing...even though I have almost every minute planned LOL!! That way she and I could hang out together and her parents could have some alone time!!!!

Jen, I 've been meaning to check on you! But this computer has me frazzled--I think it's okay now-pretty much! I am not a tech girl,, thank goodness Mike is a computer dude!!!! That's sweet of you to meet up with your youth-girl! Ya'll will have a good time!!

Hair~ Today is the first day I have had to wash & fix mine since I got it cut!! It was actually very easy!!! Some times I can't do it like she does, but this cut is super-easy!!!! I am glad you got yours done before you left---new hairdo's always give you confidence, I think!! Unless of course it's something you hate! YIKES!!! I have had some REALLY bad short cuts--& the only thing for it was to grow it out~ so I am glad yours got fixed how you want it!!

I'm so excited for you, I've almost convinced my husband to allow me on a solo trip for my 40th birthday (9 yrs away). He isn't convinced that the children I'm turning into Disney nuts will allow me a trip alone He may be right, but I can dream.

I have very thick hair. Until recently, I have had it short for much of our marriage. about 1 1/2 years ago, I decided to grow it out again. When it was short, I didn't notice shedded hair so much but now that it is long, it is everywhere! When I shampoo, I tend to take the handfuls of hair that have shedded and stick them to the wall. I know this sounds bizarre but I know all that hair is not good for the drainpipes. I usually remember to take the hair off the wall and toss it in the garbage. Well, occasionally I forget and Greg asked me last week if the shower wall was growing hair!!

Well if I’m going to sit on DIS for most of the day and be unproductive on the Saturday before my Disney trip when I should be panicking and getting everything packed and ready I might as well update you on the goings on of my trip right LOL!!

Well I have a GPS and it has a name, Stanley!! Huge thanks to LL who suggested the name. Stanley (which I love because my Red Wings are going to win the Stanley Cup yet again LOL) has now been programmed to find my hotel (Pop Century) and get me around to all of the parks at Disney.

Another change that has occurred (this trip seems to be all about changing, glad I’m being flexible). I will actually have a companion with me on a couple of my days of my trip. Prince Phillip and I take a very active role at our church in being youth sponsors to our teen group. We both love working with our teens and I will take any opportunity to be able to have some one on one time with my girls. Well opportunity has come a knocking. Turns out one of my girls, Steph, and her family are going to be going to Disney a few days during my trip. Well as you all know my trip is booked, I have every day and almost every meal planned, so how in the world was I going to try to fit some time with Stephanie in. Well, the light bulb went on, why not see if I could change a couple of my ADRs to 2 people instead of one. So that is what I did this morning. I called and added Steph to my Les Chefs ADR and to my 50’s PTC (which will be more fun with another person). So she will be ditching her parents, to hang out with the much “cooler” me (her words not mine LOL) on Saturday and Tuesday. As much as I am really looking forward to my solo trip and doing things my way, I can say this is really a blessing in disguise, because Steph is one of my girls that I haven’t had the greatest chances to really get to know and spend time with…and now I get that chance. We are both Disney fanatics…seriously this girl rivals me in knowing all things Disney, we are going to have a blast, and as she told me today on Facebook, she loves EPCOT and DHS!!

So how does this really change my solo trip…to be honest it doesn’t LOL…I still get to do my meets that I had scheduled and I still get some serious me and Disney time, now I know for sure someone will take my picture at certain places, I get a bit of companionship, and Nobby gets another female to flirt with. (BTW Steph loves the gnome idea, a girl after my own heart I tell ya).
So last time we ended I told you about my special day on Monday and how much I am really looking forward to that day…well moving on to Day6: Tuesday Disney’s Hollywood Studios Day! Then I will end this update with my Day 7: My Final Day at the World!!

DAY 6: Hollywood Studios

6:00-6:30am: Wake up Wake Up

8:00: Get ready to head over to DHS

8:30: Be at DHS for rope drop (Hopefully meet Stephanie at this time there)

9:00: GO GET TSM Fastpass and then if feasible wait in the standby line to do the ride!!! Then ride all the cool rides like RnRC ( I will have ridden the single rider line on Friday) and do TOT (with someone WOOT). Now Steph is a huge Star Wars fan so we’ll have to go ride that ride and then hopefully she’ll go on the Great Movie Ride with me LOL!!! (I know Steph will go on anything with me that I want, she is a very laid back teen).

11:30: Lunch at 50’s Prime Time Café (I will be completely honest with you all, I have no problem dining alone ever, however this was one spot I thought it might be awkward to dine by myself, now I won’t have to YAY).

1:00-Closing: Continue to explore DHS (I’m with a teen most likely I won’t be taking an afternoon break that day, so we’ll most likely do some shopping , ride some more rides, and maybe see a show or two. I figure I will let Steph dictate what we will do for the most part.) At some point before 7:00pm I’m going to get Steph back to her parents, that way I can get ready for the rest of my evening.

After 7:00pm: I have tentative plans to meet up with Kim (NorthernDisneyGirl) sometime this evening to maybe go get dessert and do the monorail resort route, hopefully we’ll be able to meet up again.

9:00-Once again I plan to head home about 9:00pm so I can get to sleep by 10pm. I’m also going to pack up my belongings that night!

10:00pm- Sweet Disney Dreams!!!!!!

Day 7: My Final Magical Day at Disney (at least for awhile LOL)

6:00-6:30 am :Wake Up Wake Up

7:15- Load up the car with my items and Check out and Head to Magic Kingdom

8:10- See Magic Kingdom in all its glory before the crowds are allowed in!! I have a breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace with Pooh and the Gang.

9:00-Head out to be ready for the rope drop.

9:15-1:45: Enjoy all my favorites one last time at Magic Kingdom (this means riding Haunted Mansion at least two or three more times LOL)

2:00- Leave for home (But the good news, as soon as I get home I get to start planning all over again LOL, this time for what it really is shaping up to be two more trips this year…but shhh I’ll tell you more about those later LOL)

I really hope to post one more update before I go…because I need to show you how much one person can really take to Disney…thank goodness for rental cars LOL!!!! However, if I don’t I would like to thank all of my readers for making this such a delightful journey for me!! You guys are the best and I’m so happy to have gotten to know a lot of you and look forward to getting to know you better in the future (2010 baby LOL)!!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
