Solo trip water park?

Is there a preference for which water park for the check in day summer perk?

Whatever appeals to you more. If you want a wave pool for the main pool, then Typhoon. If not, Blizzard Beach. Check out YouTube for videos of each park and then decide which you prefer.

As a solo I prefer Typhoon Lagoon because the Crush n gusher ride has tubes for 1. Also a better wave pool. (There are also other tube rides you can do solo at both). Both parks have group raft rides which I am a bit uncomfortable being put with another group in.

If you hit it at the right time you can also do Miss Adventure Falls solo. But honestly 99% of my time at TL is spent in the lazy river and the edge of the wave pool.

I’ve yet to go to Blizzard Beach just because I enjoy the theming at TL better.

I do enjoy a good Dole Whip option so TL may be my best bet

I’ve really come to enjoy the perk on my solo trips because it feels like such a chill and relaxing way to ease into the trip going to Typhoon Lagoon vs hitting the ground running like I always used to. Same on split stay moving day on the couple trips, especially considering we’re always moving over to the Poly. It just feels like a natural transition from Typhoon Lagoon with the tropical theming and. vibes. I like treating myself to an umbrella rental even when I’m solo.

I usually prefer Typhoon Lagoon, but last August I went to BB on my check-in day before the rest of my crew came the next day. It was so much fun to just keep riding the toboggan racers and the toboggan curvy slide (not their name, but can't recall) as many times as I wanted to do so without anyone saying it was too many stairs. I'm 64 years old and had a blast. I think I clocked over 30,000 steps that day. Have fun whatever you choose.
