Hey everyone!

My names Helen, 27 and from the UK!

Due to a relationship break up, ill now be travelling to Orlando 29th October this year on my own (GULP!).

Ive been to orlando four times before, but never on my own. im so excited and determined not to let the break up ruin my holiday, after all it will have been four years since my last trip by the time i get out there and i need my disney fix!!!

I guess im posting just to see if anyone else is braving their first solo trip? Any advice from seasoned solo travellers? Anyone out there at the same time that might fancy a meet up or some company?

Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

Any trip to Disney is a good trip so don't worry about going solo. I've done a number of solo trips and if I'm being honest, I almost prefer those to the ones I take with my grown son. You don't have to go on anyone's schedule but your own, sleep in book your FPs later in the morning. Take it slow and take in the details that most people miss. Go to shows (my son refuses to go to them). Book a decent TS or two and relax and enjoy. I have my kindle ap on my phone so I tend to read while standing in lines and eating but I wait until after I've ordered if I'm at a TS. It is one of the best places for going solo since it's relatively safe (just be smart and aware of yourself if your out and about at your resort at night or DS).

thanks for that great advice! im definitely excited about it, just a little apprehensive at the moment, ive never done anything like this before on my own!

Sorry to hear about your break up, but glad to hear you're still taking your trip. How long are you there for?

I've only done days solo, when my DH has been off elsewhere, but I love the idea of a solo trip. Doing all your favourite things and pleasing yourself with schedule is lovely!

Hope your planning goes well! :)

thank you! im in orlando for two weeks. i cant wait, i know its going to be amazing, just a little daunting thinking about it at the minute!!

I have been on 12 solo trips when DW couldn't join me . They worked out great , went at my own pace and enjoyed things that my DW does't . Like Space MT. Splash MT., Tower of Terror , Rock and Roll Coaster, and play some golf. I am sorry for break up , still I think you will have great time. :) Danny

Hi, I plan to be there around Oct. 28 - Nov. 8. I'd be glad to meet up for a meal, afternoon tea, Jellyrolls, Yehaa Bob show, etc.
