I’m am going in November and will be solo for a couple days. Any places a solo would be more comfortable for appetizers and drinks?

I'm solo and have never felt uncomfortable anywhere I have chosen to eat on property.

I do make the ADRs for 2 because not all the places will show up for only 1, but it is never a problem as long as I show up. They're used to it.

Same here on both above statements. And if the CM at check in asks, I just say DH is home. Never a problem.

Last trip I had appetizers and a margarita at Narcooses and loved it. I've also enjoyed GFC, mostly because I know DH would find it too "Froo-froo". But really, anywhere

I have a few suggestions.

If the weather is nice and you are at the springs, the two places I like are
Quick and non expensive- Drink at hole in the wall sitting outside with food from Cookes of Dublin.
More expensive but great atmosphere- Drink and food at the dockside bar on the water at The Boathouse.

Ak- drink and apps at Nomads
Epcot- drink and fish and chips from Yorkshire
Studios- Take a break, ride the skyliner to Riv or a boat to boardwalk. Find drink and lunch there
MK- Boat to Geyser Point

I have never been solo, but I would imagine if I were to do it, I would eat a lot of Appetizers over the course of my stay trying beers/drinks a lot of places.

I always go solo, but am sometimes self conscious eating by myself in "sit down" restaurants. But last trip I ate at the Brown Derby outside lounge, and it was wonderful. Great views while I ate, and didn't feel self conscious at all. They don't have the full food menu, but I had the famous Cobb salad and a cocktail.

I go solo every year and eat wherever I feel like. I have been to every level of restaurant, buffets, Teppan, family style, regular sit down restaurant, etc. Everyone needs to eat. There are no uncomfortable places to eat, IMO. Save any guilt or shame for when you do something wrong, not when all you are doing is eating a meal.

I used to go solo at least once a year (haven't been this cause, well you know) and like others I pretty much at anywhere. When my son is with me, more often than not, when we eat at TS I tend to just get appetizers because I don't eat large meals so it's no different solo. My suggestion are all pre-Covid.

Outside lounge at HBD - from what I understand they aren't serving food there right now so go ahead and eat inside at the restaurant. I've done it many times.

Nomad Lounge at AK - one of my favorite places to eat.

There is a wine bar in Italy in Epcot, I can't remember the name, but they have some of the best cheese plates and wine pairings I've ever had.

Outside at Spice Road Tables in Epcot, I love just about every small plate they have.

MK is kind of hard but we had planned on trying out the new bar at GF next time we go. Who knows now.

The Brown Derby Lounge doesn't currently have any food, it's just the walkup bar.
In DHS I'd recommend the Baseline Taphouse. They have a nice charcuterie and giant pretzel with beer cheese that are inexpensive as far as Disney prices go and quite filling.

I am very curious on the solo, walk up, or lounge advice. Not going solo. However, I do like popping up to the lounges and I know some are not operating and some are. Does anyone have any special intel on some lounges possibly opening in the near future?

I've lost count of all my solo trips and I have eaten at every level of restuarant at WDW alone with zero issues. Takes a little getting used to, but you realize after a bit that you're not the only one who does it. In August I ate at BOG and Brown Derby and had amazing meals at both. I normally do brown derby lounge when alone at DHS, but since they're only serving drinks right now I decided to do the full experience with the restaurant and had a great time. I do love any lounge though, especially since you don't need an ADR, but with the current situation of limited occupancy and waits I would probably plan at least one ADR just so you're not constantly waiting for a seat to come available at places like Nomad Lounge that have become more popular.

I've gone solo a few times and only ever felt self-conscious at a one Dessert Party.... but even then it depends who you sit with because others were no problem.

One of my favourite solo meals was Takumi-Tei ---- the food, service and experience were amazing (although it is temporarily closed still). If I had gone with DH and DS then DS wouldn't have appreciated the food and DH would have loved the food but hated the cost. But I got to enjoy it without the stress.

For apps and drinks I've never felt uncomfortable anywhere really. Epcot is especially great because you can grab drinks and an app from any booths and just sit wherever appeals...
