I don't visit Disney regularly!

Thanks! Maybe it's my face, but I guess it was a bit much for me.

That's interesting. I have five of them and none of them are stretchy. They are made with high quality durable fabric and while I wanted to wear one them when I went tot the park last weekend, it would gave been way too warm in the heatwave that we are having currently.

This one might have been the exception, but the fabric was a stretch cotton, almost a poplin. I haven't tried any of the other dresses though!

Yeah that is true, and although I didn't experience it at that time, I can see how it would lead to packed buses by the time it gets to you during the peak morning and night times.

June 10th Part 2: Around the World and Happily Ever After! + VLOG Part 2

I grabbed a bus from Saratoga Springs to Epcot. Soon I was walking next to Spaceship Earth.
I could never find an FP for this ride during this weekend unfortunately. Seems like it has gotten more popular over time! Thank the Phoenicians, maybe? Haha.

Oh, hello there Spaceship Earth!

I got a few PP pics this weekend. I really didn't do too many. First of all, there were long lines and I didn't meet that many characters, and then when you do solo PP pics they usually zoom into your face and it's like, why would I ever want a picture of my big face? I'd rather have a very zoomed out picture of me with more scenery. So I just didn't bother that much, but these were ok:

Man, it was SWELTERING today! It was sunny and hot and of course Epcot offers barely any shelter.

I headed to the Land for my first FP+. Wanna know how to make Steve jealous?

I was even cruel and sent him like 4 minutes of video!

Then I went over to The Seas and spent some time finding Nemo:

We were stuck at the very end for a bit, right where the big aquarium appears and the "In a Big Blue World song" plays...so I had that song stuck in my head for a while LOL. But it was dark and cool and that's all that matters.

I spent some time visiting the manatees and other ocean exhibits. I asked on my Instagram Stories if I should do a vlog called "Manatees and Me" but there were no responses, LOL.

At this time, my next FP wasn't until a few hours later (Soarin') so I decided to just walk around - I went into Mousegears, and then to World Showcase. I started in Mexico. Boy it was so hot just walking there. I don't know how I'd survive walking around the World!

I think I might have went on the Three Caballeros ride but I'm not so sure since I don't have pictures and I'd usually have at least one so maybe I didn't!

Then at Norway, there was a new exhibit that I spent some time in. Gods of the Vikings. So cool if you're into stuff like that, especially Norse mythology like Odin, Thor, and Loki.

It was pretty cool to check out a new exhibit. I never really spent much time in this little structure but I'm glad I did this time!

Ok we're at China now, and it's sooo sooo hot...

I needed a break, so at Germany I got myself a pretzel and some grapefruit beer.

I didn't finish all the pretzel (I never do) but I keep ziplocs with me so I had a snack for later...

I continued on, stopping in each country for a bit and moseying in and out of the stores to stay cool. I decided that I would've liked something more substantial to eat aside from the pretzel however I didn't want anything too heavy. It needed to tide me over until the HEA After Fireworks dessert party which wasn't until around 9:45pm but not be too much food because it was just too hot to feel like you just ate a big meal. Hmm where to go...

Luckily I was passing by Morocco and the perfect spot was Tangierine Cafe!

I was gonna get a gyro platter, although I did think it would be too much food but then saw that they had a special - the Gyro salad.
It was perfect as I wanted a salad anyways, and I love gyros so this was the perfect blend.

I wish they had cut the tomatoes and onions a little thinner but overall it was the perfect size and exactly what I was looking for as a light meal in the late afternoon. I Face-timed Steve in California and showed him my yummy meal and told him all about my day so far. After I was done eating I realized that I was cutting it very very close to the end of my Soarin' FP time. My initial thought was to just skip it but then when I waked out of Tangierine cafe I saw there was a ferry boat not too far away so my fears were dashed as I got on line and boarded a boat not a mere 3 minutes later. Yes!

Back on land in Future World, I made it to my Soarin' FP for my date with Patrick! Thank goodness for the 15 minute grace period.

Can't remember where I sat but I was just thankful to be out of the heat!!

After Soarin' I made a beeline to the DVC Lounge upstairs from Figment. I needed some water and to charge my phone so that's where I spent about half an hour. The snack cart came around too so I got more food. I was only going to get the chips but the lady kept asking if I wanted anything else so I got twizzlers, twist my arm on the free snacks why don't you, LOL.

After I was sufficiently charged and hydrated it was time to leave Epcot and head to MK. I think my park hop was pretty uneventful, so not too long after, I was here:

I just love the hot mess that I am, however there was nothing that could be done to improve my appearance at this point.

So, there were no fastpasses left for anything that I wanted to do. So I just headed straight for my favorite ride...you know what it is? I'm headed there now...

So it started to rain during my ride on the Peoplemover, and when I got off, it was pouring! I had to make a quick decision so I decided to make a run for it to CoP. I pulled out my poncho, the only time I ever did that weekend, thank goodness, and darted the short distance to CoP.

Considering I stayed mostly dry, I consider that a success!

Thankfully the rain had stopped by the time I got out!

Because it was the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo at that time, there were these backdrops, there was no PP photographer though probably because the escaped during the rain, so I did a selfie.

Boy I keep getting more disheveled as the night progresses...

I did find a photographer in front of this backdrop though and she did a magic shot with Jack Jack!

I had some time before I had to check in for the fireworks so I just walked around MK a bit. Still no FPs and no rides with waits under 30 minutes. Even small world was packed! I walked around Fantasyland, went into Cosmic Ray's and sat with some water and ate some of my leftover pretzel.

Right at 9pm I checked in for the fireworks party. The fireworks was happening at 9:15pm that night probably because they needed it to get really dark before they started. The dessert party I was doing was taking place AFTER the fireworks, however the viewing area is the Plaza Viewing area and is shared with those from the BEFORE fireworks dessert party. The After fireworks dessert party was a new offering and I didn't hear that much about it and what I did hear was not too favorable but I did want to try it anyways. I showed up right before the fireworks because I did not care if I got the best seat in the house as I intended to stand anyways because I wanted to take some video. However if you wanted to have a nice sprawling seat on the grass then maybe checking in earlier would be better. I realized one of the key differences between the Before fireworks and After fireworks dessert party already - I wasn't rushing through my meal! I know people rush to eat so that they can get to the viewing area early to get a spot. It's really up to you but I don't think it's really necessary because the whole viewing area is gonna be the same, I think the only bad spots are those that are behind a tree or pole.

Even though I showed up only 15 minutes before the fireworks, I managed to get a great spot at the very back of the viewing area against the rail. Maybe it was because I was solo and could sort of wedge into an area. I didn't want to sit and so I used the rail to lean on. It was pretty crowded but not insane, there was space to stand and if you wanted to sit you can find some spot to squeeze yourself into, but when the fireworks started almost everyone stood up. This was a different experience last May when there were people who were annoying and yelling for people to sit down. It was much more pleasant this evening.

So I don't have pictures of HEA since I was busy taking video, but I have my latest VLOG up right now and I have some extended video of HEA included!

I think (hope) it's slightly better than the first one. Also I have optimized it for vertical viewing so you can watch it on your phone or tablet vertically and it looks a little better. I'm getting there, still learning! I've also created a new Youtube channel called A Chunky Story so I hope to consolidate all my Disney videos there. Eventually.

I needed to go from The Land in Epcot to... I think it was either Beaches & Cream, or I wanted to walk to DHS via the Boardwalk. Whatever.
But it was morning and I wasn't 100% positive if I could get out through the International gateway before 11:00. (Was 95% sure... but didn't want to walk all the way out there just to turn around.)
So I asked a CM, just to get that last 5%, you know?

He told me "No. Not until WS opens at 11:00."

I got the distinct impression that he really didn't know for sure himself.

I didn't believe him and asked another CM a second later who confirmed it was possible.

Yes. I'm having a pity party and everyone is invited.

Yay! A party! I'll bring something. Say... a box of tissues?

At least I can look back on it and laugh now.

I managed to get a great spot at the very back of the viewing area against the rail. Maybe it was because I was solo and could sort of wedge into an area. I didn't want to sit and so I used the rail to lean on.

Nice! This is where I'm hoping to be next month, too. I think it would be a nice place to relax and to also possible set up a tripod without being obtrusive to other people around us. Did you find it still felt like there was lots of space even with the two parties using the area at the same time?

Yes I did, people were lying down and sprawled out in a space that could fit like 4 people standing, and when they stood up there was more space to move around. So depending on the crowd that evening it should be fine.

1.) make it to the park for rope drop
2.) take a nap/swim break during the hottest part of the day
3.) KEEP YOUR DANG HANDS OUTTA YOUR PANTS

The snack cart came around too so I got more food. I was only going to get the chips but the lady kept asking if I wanted anything else so I got twizzlers, twist my arm on the free snacks why don't you, LOL.

I think next time I would ask for the eggs over medium as I do like a little bit of runny yolk on a dish like this and this one was fried well done.

I'm trying to decided if I will scandalize our waiter when we do this by asking for scrambled eggs on one of the dishes. It's the only way I eat eggs

Some new Dooneys: They seem to be coming out with a new print very regularly. This one is Lady and the Tramp.

Then at Norway, there was a new exhibit that I spent some time in. Gods of the Vikings. So cool if you're into stuff like that, especially Norse mythology like Odin, Thor, and Loki.

Oooh, I want to make sure and make it in here since we FINALLY watched the first Avengers movie a couple weeks ago. We're behind on Marvel.

So I just headed straight for my favorite ride...you know what it is? I'm headed there now...

How is this not everyone's favorite ride....

Right at 9pm I checked in for the fireworks party. The fireworks was happening at 9:15pm that night probably because they needed it to get really dark before they started. The dessert party I was doing was taking place AFTER the fireworks, however the viewing area is the Plaza Viewing area and is shared with those from the BEFORE fireworks dessert party.

I was going to ask what time your booking said to check in and then I kept reading HEA is at 8pm the night I have it booked and I think it told me 7pm. I was thinking... really? That feels so early!
