Out of curiosity would it ok to ask how long you had them? Curious what you paid per point then and what you were able to resell for. I'm contemplating a little lately but don't know if I'd act on it.

I checked out the SSR contracts for sale yesterday with the company you used and there were over 150! Glad you were able to sell yours. Looks like the prices are dropping fast and will soon be a great time to pick up some extra points for cheap.

Fellow Canadian here. Did you need to get an ITTN# or just forget about the 15% tax? is it worth it for IRS to have info on you? Would they even sell you points without the #? Thanks and Congrats.

We bought at $85 in 2004 and sold for $117. We decided to forget about the 15% with holding tax because of the pain in the neck in trying to get it back. The amount of the tax was about $2,100 and it was going to cost us $500 up front to try and get it back. Canadian Tom
