Sold out for promo already?!

I just called AAA to switch my 14 day package over to 2 7 day ressies to get the 5/2 deal. Guess what? ASMu is already sold out AND it would be even more money if we could have done it there anyway! How do you figure this-2 5 day MYW plus PH is more $ than 1 10 day MYW plus PH.

And how did ASMu sell out when this promo was just released? Somethings not right or fair!

Here's hoping for a better promo in the next month or 2!

So much of it depends on WHEN you are going. I don't believe they opened very many rooms for the Nov./Dec. dates (many of the deluxes are not available at all).

2- 5 day tickets with hoppers is probably considerably more than a 10 day ticket. Once you hit 4 days on a ticket, it is only $3 to add 1 more day to the ticket... so to go from a 5 day ticket to a 10 day is only an extra $15 per person... that's much cheaper than the $300-ish for the 5 day ticket.

It definitely does not make sense that it would cost you more. How could 4 days free be more than paying for all 14? As for them being sold out. I think the promos are very limited, especially on certain popular dates. So I can't say it is impossible.

Also, when we booked through AAA, our TA tried to talk me out of going with a different deal once. She told me, it wouldn't beat AAA, but I basically insisted she check. Guess what! The deal was cheaper. So I am not saying your TA is doing that, but maybe check your dates online and see, if it is bringing anything up for All Star Music. You never can tell. Not sure why they would do that? Maybe they make more through the AAA discounts?

ETA: What Marcie says about the tickets could very well be the reaosn for not saving. I didn't think of that.

It really depends on the price of your room during your dates. Plus, a 5 day base ticket is $228 ($456 if you're paying that twice) & a 10 day base ticket is only $243.

These deals are NEVER good for us! We have APs so we have a 7 day CSR with ddp for 2 adults and 1 child for 980.00 (or close to it) when I called to see how much it would be for this deal they told me 900.00 MORE!! I said "no thank you" I will stick with the AP discounts because at least we do not have to buy tickets! I think if you KNOW you are going more then one time (even if you go in dec and then the next dec) it is worth it to get the AP....not only do you get a room discount but you dont have to get those MYW tickets!
I miss the LOS passes.They always let me start the 2nd day and not buy it for the last day...maybe I just do not like change lol

Did you also have them price it out as one 14 day stay? You can stay longer than the promo - I stayed 10 days on the 4/3 deal earlier this year, on two separate trips. It worked out to about a 30% discount overall from rack rate. Most of the discount promos Disney has been offering have a 14 day limit, so I would at least have them price it that way and see. If it's the tickets that are causing you not to save, this might help.
