SOG wait list

I was on the waitlist in 97' and got the dates I needed about two months after making the reservations. This time I got the reservations on the first try.

We had reserved through ASMu but yesterday we called SOG back and they told us there is no such thing as a wait list!!!!! Anyway, she was able to get us all the nights we need except one(at the CR), so we booked AK for that one night through Disney and then if SOG can come up with that night between now and five days prior to our AK ressie we can cancel. So it does pay to keep calling them daily even though it takes 30-45min. to get through to them! :)

Perhaps the agent was confused and thought you were asking about a wait list for overflow? Of which there is none. It's also possible the wait list for that time frame is closed and perhaps there was a miscommunication in conveying that information.

Unless things have changed, there has always been a wait list for the hotel itself (and in this case, the approx 300 rooms over at the CR NW).

I know they've lost quite a few agents in the past year. It's possible they have some new people or people in training. If you remember the person's name, I'd suggest calling back and asking to speak with Lynn, she's the new reservations manager. She needs to know if her people are passing out incorrect information. :)
