I'm trying to get a feel for where all the new rooms are. Here's a map I found of the old resort Shades of Green map Where is the new wing being built? Or all the new rooms just on top of some of the old wings?
I've been looking at the construction photos under "Digging In for the Future" on the SOG homepage and it occurs to me I don't know which part of the hotel I'm looking at.....

I don't think I'll be much help. I haven't been on the SoG property since I left. If you were coming down the long drive way, it was my understanding (and judging by where the construction boards were when I left) that the parking garage would be where the larger parking lot on the left is/was. The addition would be behind that and parts of it would be 4 stories while others, 5. They were to add separate driveways; one for people checking in/out and a lower drive for buses (that area was always congested). They were supposed to link the upper and lower areas via an escalator and, I guess, a ramp for the handicapped. The area was to be covered. I'll make it over yonder way some time this year to take a look at it. I'm sorry I really couldn't provide better info for you.
Well, we'll be there in 6 weeks, so I guess I'll just find out then.
Although, I'm kinda hoping we get bumped. There was a thread on here last night...someone got bumped to POR since there weren't enough rooms ready and they comped her entire stay...all 3 rooms! That would certainly make our trip a little more affordable

I'm trying to remember how we decided who we needed to move when we oversold (although we never oversold by the likes of which it seems they did for this time). I'm really having a hard time remembering. It was rare we had to put people up elsewhere because of being overbooked.
I'm happy they're comping people and putting them up in decent places. You shouldn't have to suffer because they didn't use their brains.
