Just found out we're going to WDW next Feb. when our DD competes in a dance tournament -- YAAAAYYY!!

We don't have the exact dates yet, and it's very possible that we won't have them in time to make an SoG/CR ressie (probably won't know until Aug.)

Are overflow rates still available? Sorry, but I didn't see any mention of this in any prior posts (not recently, anyway!)

Thanks!

they have POR and CS for $99 when we are going in May. The person I soke to said they are still booking a yr out with the overflow

For a while the overflow rates had been suspended. I called SOG yesterday for ressies for this summer. They are of course booked up at the Contemporary where they have been temporarily relocated during the big addition at the SOG. I was given a number of overflow rates......99 for Port Orleans or Carribean, 174 for the Polynesian, 134 for standard at the AKL. We also had luck one time with the SOG waitlist. We had ressies elsewhere and the called about a month before our trip and a room had opened up for us. Good Luck!!

There are almost always overflow rates available, unless there is no availability in overflow (like there is for the Easter weekend and as some times happens over major holidays when guests wait to the last minute to try and find a room). There was a period, for a month or 2, right after 9/11 when we stopped overflowing guests due to the massive amount of cancellations we were receiving. But, we have been overflowing guests again for, at least, 4 months now.

We do not have overflow rates a year out. We normally receive the rates for the next year in late summer/early fall of the current year. They don't all come at the same time so, it's possible we would only have, for example, the LBV and Royal Plaza for dates next year and nothing else for a week or 2 until the other resorts give us their availability.

My suggestion to the person who needed rooms for Feb 2002 is book the entire month (or what you can book of it) NOW. Waitlist yourself for any dates that are sold out. Then, when you find out what you really need, contact us back so we can chop down the reservation for you. As of this past Wed., Feb 16 2003 was all ready sold out and a few days prior and after that date were close to being sold out. :)

Ditto what Firstno. said. Book the month it will only be one night's deposit to hold no matter how long. Then trim in August.

Thanks everyone!

I had no idea you could book for an entire month --- this sounds like the best option and I will probably act on it --

AKL for $134?? Wow -- that sounds like a deal -- !

But we also really wanted to try CBR -- decisions, decisions -- ;)

Thanks again!

I always book for an entire month. With the ships coming in and out, we never know ahead of time when we can take a vacation. Without this option, we would be in trouble.
