Just returned about 10 days ago from a SoG/CR stay. They to have hair dryers. The mini-fridges are $10 ($10.60 w/tax) a day. Worth it to my family. The rooms are large, however, about 4 feet shorter than SoG. There is no partition blocking off the day bed and table.
Bathrooms are a good size. The toilet area is in a separate room from the shower. Some of the toilet areas have just a vanity, while others have an extra sink in them.
Only the 1st floor has balconies. This is very deceiving from pictures & just from looking at the building. All rooms have sliding glass doors to open, just not a balcony. I am pretty sure that the garven views face the playground. This is very nice if you have children that can use this. We were on the 2nd floor and our children were old enough that they could go to the playground themselves, while we watched them from our rooms.
We requested to be near the main building also so we were close to the Food & Fun Center. Once again, our children were old enough that they could go get their own drinks or play in the arcade. We got the refillable mugs & thought they were well worth it.
Very, very convenient to MK. I recommend taking the walkway to & from the Kingdom. It was a 7 minute walk for us from the gate of the Kingdom to the door of our room - shorter than the monorail even. Even though we had a car we took the monorail to Epcot - also very convenient & relaxing.
Housekeeping was a little lax at the beginning of our stay, but after a few complaints it was better. We were spoiled by the special housekeeper we had in FW the last few years.
The pool was a little busy. Seems like a lot of pool hoppers that get off the monorail. They should actually have more chairs & tables w/umbrellas for the size pool it is.
All in all we liked the CR. In fact, we already have our ressies booked for next year. A SoG relocation again.
I think you will enjoy. We did. Oh, if you get a room that faces the playground & the lake you will be able to see the water pageant every night. Very pretty!!
