SOG and Christmas

My sons marching band is going to be marching in the Magic Kingdom after Christmas 2006 (we think the 27th of Dec. 2006). I have a couple of questions regarding SOG.

1. I will be needing to make a reservation for the week between Christmas and New Years (My son will be with the band and my wife and I can relax at SOG). Yep.....VERY busy time I know. When is the earliest I can make a reservation at SOG?

2. I remember at one time that if you are staying at SOG during the Christmas season, you had to buy a "package" which includes room, some food vouchers to be used at SOG, etc. Is this still true? Is it happening for this years folks who are at SOG during the week between Christmas and New Years or can you just make and pay for room only during the holidays?

They also usually have a three day minimum stay at the SOG the week of Christmas. They do not have a food purchase requirement, though. You can book online 24 hours a day now, it is easy!
