As some of you may know, I was supposed to have some oral surgery done last Wednesday. Well, they rescheduled it, and I had it on Tuesday of this week. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and there was minimal pain.
However, I have gotten sooooo tired of eating pudding and apple sauce and chicken noodle soup that I have run out of soft food ideas! It doesn't have to be super soft, but I can't bite into anything because my gums have a little bruising and I'm trying to be really careful with my stiches. I had some mac and cheese today, and it was delish! (You have no idea how happy I was to have
graduated' to more solid foods!) Any suggestions? I'm hungry! :)

Mashed potatoes....there's lots of stuff you can do w/ them!!

Wow...I never thought of scrambled eggs! Blame it on the pain medicine! lol
Actually, I had potatoes yesterday...alot of potatoes. I made a HUGE pot full of them and ate it all! :earseek: But maybe I can search up a good recipe that uses them...hmmm
If only it wasn't snowing here today, I'd run over to DQ and pick up a Blizzard! DK's finished the ice cram yesterday after dinner. :(
I guess today would be a good day to bake the Christmas cookies since I wouldn't be able to 'taste test' any of them! :teeth:

Just about anything can be tossed in the blender with a little water to make it soft.

try baby food...gerber plums are yummy

Spaghetti O's. :) I ate a lot of those when I had my Wisdom Teeth out. Easy to swallow. :)

The old stand by... Peanut Butter & Jelly :teeth:
edited to add... pancakes.

i just had my wisdom teeth out in september. besides everything already suggested here i ate mashed bananas (better than it sounds), campbell's soup at hand (lots of different flavors), pasta, and mcdonald's milkshakes eaten with a spoon.

after a few days i was able to eat really doughy pizza (not the crusts) by cutting them up into really small pieces so i could swallow without chewing too much.

if you have sockets/holes (don't know what kind of oral surgery you had done) beware of teh rice -- i ate rice and my holes filled up with the stuff and i couldn't get all of it out. it didn't cause any issues, but was really annoying.
