We are planning on buying this pass when we get to Universal Studios. Does anyone know if we can add the front of the line pass to this if it is super busy and how much extra this would cost? We are there on 24th May the day before Transformers is set to open, but if it is open before then we do not want to wait in long queues. Can you only use the front of the line pass once for each ride or is there no limit?
As it also includes a 3 day Disneyland Park hopper if we decide on the 3rd day that we would like another day at Disneyland can we just pay the extra between the 3 and 4 day park hopper tickets or do we need to buy another whole day ticket on its own? TIA :-)

I had the same question I called them and they said yes if can be upgraded when you get there. Cost varies I was told for my date in July it would cost an extra $80 to upgrade from the SoCal pass!

Hi there,
You can certainly upgrade to a Front of the Line Pass at Universal; however, as far as the cost of the upgrade, your best bet is to call them and ask them what the cost would be for the dates you will be there, as the cost does change throughout the year. You can call them at 1-800-UNIVERSAL.

Also, be aware that the Front of the Line Passes do sell out; Universal recommends arriving by 9 a.m. during peak season and 10 a.m. off-peak to ensure availability. You need to go to the Hollywood Ticket Outlet across from the Blues Brother's stage to purchase the upgrade.

You can also upgrade your 3-day Park Hopper at Disneyland to a 4-day Park Hopper at any point during the 3 days. For your 2012 Southern California CityPASS, you'll receive a credit of $214 for ages 10+ and a credit of $198 for ages 3-9 towards the upgrade of something of greater or equal value.

Hope that helps, and let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!

Is that $80 per person? Is it good for every attraction? is it worth it?

The Front of the Line Pass only applies to Universal Studios, not to the other attractions.

Yes it's $80 extra per person. I'm not sure on the particular but I think it's good for most USH attractions. There is also a limit, you can use it once per attraction.

Does anyone know the current price to upgrade a CityPASS from a 3 day Disney hopper to a 4 day?

Also is it possible to upgrade Universal to two days?? I know you can get the second day free buying the CityPASS from Universal but you have to use it there first and we're doing Disney first before doing Hollywood :rolleyes2

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Hi there,
At Disneyland, CityPASS holders will receive a credit of $198 for ages 3-9 and $214 for ages 10+ towards an upgrade.

Unfortunately, there is no 2nd-day upgrade available at Universal - they only sell single-day tickets (the free second day promotion is available if you purchase online through universal, but it's not actually a 2-day ticket).

Hope this helps!

with Disney raising prices do you anticipate any price increases for the Citi Pass before the end of the year? going in oct and wondering if I should buy now.

thanks!

Hi Philliplc,
Our CityPASS prices will not change at all for the remainder of 2012, so you are safe to buy closer to the time of your trip in October if you prefer to do that. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!

is the disney parkhopper a voucher that needs to be redeemed at guest relations or can it be taken straight to the turnstiles? thanks!

You can take your CityPASS card straight to the turnstiles, and they'll give you your park hopper tickets, and you can go right in. No need to go to guest services. :)
