2 questions: (1) When you get fastpass for Soarin, do you get to choose whether to use it for World or California, or is FP just for World? (2) Is the Frozen show the same as the show in Hollywood Studios in WDW? Thanks for the help.

They are only showing one of those at a time, so your FP will work for whichever ride is up. Right now, it's Soarin over California. After summer, it will probably go back to the World. If you go this month, it will be for California.

Never been to the Frozen show in WDW, so I don't know.

Frozen in DLR is an actual play vs DHS sing-along. I haven’t seen the sing-along at DHS and have 0 interest in doing so but the play in DCA is very nice. (And air conditioned.)

The Frozen shows are nothing alike, other than they are both based on Frozen.

The DCA one is similar to a broadway style musical, just one hour though.

Oh wow, so no World at all, OK. Interesting, so how is the Frozen show? Great, or just meh?

I’m not much of a fan of “Frozen” the movie (maybe I simply overdosed on the “Let it go“ song) but I did enjoy the “Frozen” at the Hyperion live show.

We used to watch Aladdin each trip when it was still running there, and our routine was to get take out from one of the near food places, get into the “Orchestra” line as soon as they allow people to line up, and have a picnic. This makes the wait pass quickly (though they made us move from time to time to make the line neater and tighter. We did the same this time around (they even allow you to bring your leftovers & drinks into the theater, which used to be a big no-no during the Aladdin era).

This way, we end up at the front of the line and get fantastic seats. To remind myself that, were we to sit so close to the stage (we went for row 5 to still get a good look at the staging, set, and projections, which are interesting and creative), our family of four would probably have to pay more than $1000 for the privilege.

The actors have broadway quality voices, and it’s a nice way of catching a break from the walking and heat in the parks, especially if you have Maxpass and can continue to book Fastpasses for the afternoon.

Make sure to, if you have kids or other people with unpredictable bladders, hit the restroom before you line up, since there are no restrooms in the theater.

Cool, cool. Wife and I love Frozen. Kids are kind of past it, but they do love live productions. Will definitely check out. How long before showtime do you need to lineup to get decent (like mid-theater) seats?

From another WDW regular who just took our first family trip to DLR: The Frozen show at DLR is better quality than any show at WDW (except maybe Festival of the Lion King might be preferred by some). It really is near broadway quality both in performance of the 20 member ensemble and in the staging. Yes, I have heard that the Aladdin show was better, but that says more about the Aladdin show than it does about this one. It is a worthwhile use of your time, even if you are on a short trip.

We got in the line as it was entering. We were a row or two back in the rear floor section. People filled in though.

Friday in early December. 4 pm showing.

Near Broadway caliber, but abridged in length (which to me is not a bad thing at all). Highly recommended for any fans of the movie.
I agree with this. And have seen Frozen Broadway. Many of us will always miss Aladdin at DCA which was just perfect but the Frozen show is a very worthy replacement. IMO Frozen at DCA is the best Disney stage show at either DLR or WDW. But I still love my FOTLK at AK though!
