I love Soarin - but I do not know California that well.

Places that I did know on the Soarin ride -
Golden Gate Bridge (really more orange/red in color)
Napa Vally wine country
Disneyland

Now on to what I do not know,what/where they are -
Golf Course with a ball in your face
Rapids in some sort of canyon
Lots of high pine trees
others scences ?

Can someone help out and let me learn more about Soarin and California ?

Can't name them off hand but did notice this trip that they flash places on the screen before you enter.

The name of the bridge has nothing to do with its color... the bridge spans the "Golden Gate" which is the mouth of the San Francisco Bay :)

I dound some info from AllEars....

Feel the wind in your face as you break through the clouds and fly over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, then practically dip your toes into Redwood Creek in northern California. Soaring with balloons over Napa Valley is followed by a look at the magnificent California coastline of Monterey Bay. A winter scene takes you flying over skiers at Lake Tahoe (watch for the skier who misses on the jump) and you can smell the fresh pine. Then suddenly it's spring as you glide towards Yosemite Falls, and turn toward Half Dome. Moving to the southern part of the state you'll see and smell some of California's orange groves before flying over one of Palm Springs' golf courses -- FORE! It's like a scene from High Chaparral as you fly over horsemen in the rocky Anza-Borrego desert -- until you hear the unmistakable roar of the Thunderbirds in a fly-by. Next, glide over an aircraft carrier while enjoying the San Diego city skyline. It's late afternoon when you watch the Malibu surfers before taking a fast flight over the crowded L.A. freeways on your way to... Disneyland! Your journey ends as you fly over the nighttime parade on Main Street just as the fireworks begin over Sleeping Beauty Castle, and gently descend back to the ground.

Thanks !

I saw the names on the film they show before you enter the ride - and I saw Camarillo mentioned. My brother lives in Camarillo, CA so I asked him which scene was Camarillo. He had no idea ! - but guessed it was the orange groves.

Camarillo is the orange groves... i know cause thats where my gf is from!

Just for those that don't know there is a hidden Mickey on the golf ball that is hit right at you.

Also if you look to the far left when you enter the golf course scene you see a man holding a blue mickey balloon....not as noticable as the golf ball mickey, but another hidden mickey!

The man who hits the golf ball is said to be Michael Eisner.

There is also another hidden Mickey in the fireworks over the castle.
