Soarin around the world tour

How do you make reservations for this wednesday morning event? Thank you

You have to call. I am not sure how far in advance of the date you want. Here's the thread about the opening day madness when calls were allowed.

I was lucky and did my March 29th time for the two DVC memberships in my party, 4A.

I hope you are able to book what you want!

We finally were able to book after about a dozen calls.

Has anyone here done the tour yet? I'm assuming you need to enter Epcot around 7:30-7:40. Is there any problem going in through the IG at this time of the morning?

We were fortunate enough to book on 3/5/2017 for 6/21/2017 (party of 3).

No issue, they allow you through in time for the tour.

We are local so just kept calling to find any open date.

We just finished the tour and are now in the DVC lounge.

The tour itself was just ok. Not much behind the scenes. A little history of Epcot followed by some details about the ride and then on the ride. The tour guide can highlight things while you are on the ride, as you have an earphone to listen to them.

WE got to the gate at Epcot a time 730 and had to wait until about 750 to get in. Then easy check in near the Starbucks and Club Cool.

It was not possible to get to the International Gateway at 7:30... we went to BC concierge, they gave up a voucher for a cab ride. There was a locked gate just down the hill from the BC on the path to International Gateway.

This was March 29.

People really gathered at the check in closer to 8.

The tour was excellent. Lots of information about Epcot, the ride and Disney himself.

Yes, only on Wednesday mornings.

How long would you allocate to arrive on time for the tour?

Does anyone know if the tour ends in time for you to still do rope drop at 9:00?
I know you can ride soarin but I just want to make sure it is not just with the first group that walked there from rope drop.

I do not know if the gate is always closed at 7:30.
There were about 50 people waiting to get into Epcot before 8 AM. Some had breakfast reservations for 8 AM, so we were not the only ones wanting to get in before hours.

Whether true or not, the Bell Service person referenced something that happened " 5 minutes ago" as to why the gate was closed. We were under the impression that we would be able to enter through the IG since there would be others who had ADRs for breakfast.

We got to the gate that was locked around 7:25, we probably did get to the front of Epcot via the cab around 7:40....we stood in line with the others and I think it was at 8 or maybe 5 of that we were let into Epcot.

I am sorry that I did not make note of the time, but when we rode Soarin, there were people in line before us, standing on Row 1, but only the middle section of the ride had riders if I remember correctly. There were not a lot of people around at all.

Can anyone tell me what tour at Disneyland is like? I was able to get a reservation but want to make sure it's worth it. CM on phone said it starts at 10 am.

Anyone else allowed through the International Gateway for Soarin? I am coming up on my 180 day window next week, and don't want to walk over from the Boardwalk only to be turned away and told to take a cab to the front.
