I keep hearing how wonderful soarin is and I'm considering going on, but I'm not too good with heights. Do you get the feeling of falling out of your seat? How high does it look like you are? I really want to try, but I'm afraid when I get there I'll just not go on. :)

Esspecially if you sit in the back row you shouldn't have a problem, ask a CM before you enter to make sure you get one of those seats. At no point do you feel like you are going to actually fall out of your seat and you are very sercure with the seatbelt.

I used to be petrified of heights, 15 years of snowboarding has done away with most of it but theres still the odd chairlift where I'll be too scared to move and if I'm on a cliff I'll literally craw to the edge if I want to look over, I don't know why I'm so scared with them, I just don't think properly when it comes to heights sometimes.

With that background Soaring gives me a little bit of a scare at a few points, it doesn't feel like you're falling really, but it does feel like you're really really high and have nothing under you. It gives me a bit of a start and a jump in my stomach, but it passes quickly.

hmm...I can be a little scared of heights too...its something about not being in control...but I'll try...worse that can happen is BF has claw marks in his arm...

Don't worry. I'm a huge scaredy-cat, very afraid of heights. Soarin' was barely frightening (maybe a little more in the beginning). It never feels like you're going to fall out of your seat. It feels like you're way up high, but it might be comforting to look to the side and see the CM controlling everything 10-40 feet down :goodvibes

I don't normally have any issues w/rides, and was fine on Soarin. That being said, it did feel like you were actually moving, and I held on a few times. It felt like your feet actually were going to go thru the water at one point. But, if it bothers you, just look away from the movie and you'll be fine. If you sit in the last row, you're closest to the ground as well. Its a great ride, and definitely worth it.

I am both a bit afraid of height and get a bit car sick. The first time I rode Sorin I didn't really like it. It made my stomach fell like it feels when I ride in the car in the mountians. We were on the top row. Last trip the kids really wanted to do it again so I went a second time. We were on the bottom row and I knew what to expect more and I did fine. Didn't feel sick at all and even enjoyed the ride. I can't tell you if it was being on the bottom or just knowing that I had done it before but it was much better. Now I am confident that I can do it. It is funny because I like roller coasters, and there is absolutly nothing to be afraid of on this ride. It is just the high up thing I guess. Anyway this long story is to encourage you to try it.

I am very afraid of heights...but I have to say I loved Soarin. I think it was because it felt like I was high up, but I knew I was close to the ground so I was able to enjoy it. I didn't feel like I would fall out of the seat at all....but I did hang on tight. :rotfl: My daughter and I got to ride up front in the center row all by ourselves one morning when we got chosen for family of the day! It was worth the little tummy jump and hanging on tight. :thumbsup2
