Yay! I was totally expecting there to be no responses yet! We're going to have some fun.

Does anyway want to talk on here live while the show is going on? We did it last season and it was fun...

And for all the Mary Haters, I highly suggest Tivoing or turning the channel when she's ready to talk. She's a LOT less annoying than she was in the beginning, but I still hate leaving the screams up to chance.

Aww...I've always liked Mary, and I don't even mind her screams. It's an integral part of the show now.

One of my favorite moments from last season was during one of the audition shows when the "winker" and the "hiccup" couple were dancing. I was in hysterics watching Nigel and Mary in hysterics.

As far as posting on this thread, how do you deal with spoilers and the difference between east coast and west coast time?

I'm in! I'm in! Looooove this show (as you can tell by my pic). I really like the one year where each contestant danced the same dance to the same song - I know that some people didn't like it, but it really showed the difference in the techniques.

Just hoping that ALL of the guest performers are dancers! Why have singers on a dance show? Save them for American Idol. So totally loved seeing Ailey on there. And watching Nigel perform with Debbie Allen's group - FABULOUS! Can you tell I'm a bit excited! In the words of Mary -

I can't wait! SYTYCD is my favorite reality show of all time. I don't get as worked up over it as American Idol since I know NOTHING about dance so really just watch it for the entertainment. I've watched it the past three seasons and this is the only reality show I've ever watched where there hasn't been a single contestant I couldn't stand I liked some more than others, but there was no one who really annoyed me, which is always good

I stopped watching after the first season because of that ridiculous screaming woman. How she's allowed to do that over and over... and even on the promos... is beyond me!

I think Mary's hilarious! She's over-the-top but for some reason it doesn't bother me. Mia sometimes gets on my nerves too, when she's judging. She can be a (word I can't say on the Dis ) I LOVE her choreography though! Hers and Wade's dances are always my favorites. I like Tyce too, but mainly because he was my cousin's dance teacher for years (when he was still going by Keith) so I've got to root for the Brooklyn boy

Last night was a great start to the season!
It seemed like they showed more people that were good even if they didn't quite make the cut than they showed of the people who are awful.

The kitty cat jedi girl was bizarre though...

I enjoyed it last night as well. I also like seeing the good over the bad....I felt bad for the brother/swimmer who didn't get through. I bet we will see him next season.

I agree, good first show! I felt so bad for those guys who were dancing together doing ballroom. When they took that fall, I couldn't help but laugh. Very interesting pair.

Can't wait until next week - andI had to stay up to see who Mary was crying about! I still don't really get it, that guy's dancing moved her tears. I mean he was good, but tear-worthy, I don't know!

I'm in too! Love SYTYCD - and conveniently it started the night after Idol finished....gotta love it! I am glad they focused more on the good than the bad - I tend to feel sorry for the ones that are truly awful, but not trying to make a big joke. Looks like some good talent so far - esp. katie's roommate (man she has long arms and legs...definately 'dancer' body type! Also, the guy who danced last was really good. Reminded me of the guy who I think was 3rd or 4th last year (bad memory for names!). I started watching late last season so don't know who SEX is - am going to Google him now....

Google can get you in trouble! My Pastors wife wanted to make her new son in law's favorite desert the first Thanksgiving he was with them... (he is from England). She typed in Spotted D..K and got some VERY interesting results! (and no recipie!)
