Ade and Melissa's first dance was pretty horrid so the results may have been different w/o the emotional dance.
I think Evan remains because people like him so much. He's been an underdog from the beginning with his lack of height and all that. However, I adore him (but don't vote for him) and love his personal style. It is my favorite type of music to hear and so to see him dance to it makes me very happy.
Season 6, we'll have his brother to go through this same type thing if he makes the top 20.

I love Evan's dance style too! He makes me happy watching him. I think that if the Tyce dance was not there Melissa and Ade would have gone home too.

I was so shocked, as well. I didn't understand why Melissa didn't go home. She is clearly a great ballerina and that girl is flexible like no one's business, but I just don't think she has the range of the others. If she isn't gone next week, I would be surprised.

I also do think Evan should go home - I love Evan and he is darling, like a puppy dog. He will for sure have a great career in Broadway dance, if that is his goal. But he doesn't seem to have the strength of the other guys. I hope Brandon wins - wow, can that guy move!

I am so disappointed that Jeanette went home! She is my favorite girl. I would have preferred Evan to go home over Jason, but I'm OK with it. Brandon is my favorite, followed by Ade.

I have been rooting for Evan because he went to the same high school as my boys, and I have seen him around here and there since he was 14 years old. Still, I really thought he would be going home last night and was fine with that. I was actually shocked that Brandon was in the bottom 2 and not Evan! Brandon has become my favorite and I hope he wins.

I agree that Jeanette was the strongest female dancer, but there was something about her that rubbed me the wrong way. I can't put my finger on it, but I never really cared for her. Even though she bugged me, I know she didn't deserve to go. Jeanine has been my favorite female dancer, so I was glad to see she is still in.

The only good thing about last night's show was the opening dance by Mia and seeing the former dancers back doing some of the greatest routines.

The vote-off was disappointing as I feel both the wrong man and woman went home.

And the Katie Holmes number, after a week's worth of buildup, was boring. I would have rather seen Ellen up there busting out her moves.

We couldn't believe that Evan wasn't eliminated. BUT, it sort of makes me feel better to ponder how funny it's going to look next week when they say "and these are the boys" and big, muscular Brandon and Ade come out, accompanied by little Evan...what a visual!

I really think that among the top guys, Jason has the best chance of working in the industry. He's got a nice body with nice lines, and can fit into an "ethnic" category or not, depending on what they need...he can do "sweet" or "sensual."

My daughters asked the same question about the "dancing"! Even the sound editing was awful. Could it have been any more obvious that she was lip syncing and that the vocals did not match her face?

Oh and when Mia said that Janine was her favorite, my 15yo dd said, "that's the kiss of death." I think she must have been right. Everyone that Mia made very positive comments on were in trouble.

Mia actually said Janette was her favorite (and we saw how that worked out), and your DD was right on the money!! She also had very favorable comments for Kayla and Jason. The only dancer she had positive comments for that escaped the bottom 4 was Evan. I thouhgt the exact same thing when she made the comment to Janette: kiss of death!

Even though Mia's style of dance is not my favorite, it is growing on me. And you cannot deny that she puts some amazing dances on the stage (with Emmy to back her up). Personally, I think she needs to come off the judges stand. I'm not sure what value she adds as a judge. Other guest judges provide constructive feedback, but don't choreograph for the show either.

Just got tickets for DM, DS, and myself for the Milwaukee show, hurrah! Last year in GB we were on the floor, second section back, and really felt that we couldn't see as well as the year before, so I returned to buying the first tier up, just slightly back from the stage, FRONT ROW, huzzah! I don't know if you still need the precode, but I used FOXTV and it worked.

Can't wait until October 9!

We are sorely disappointed that even though there is a top 10 dancer from our area (Kayla)....Denver will not have a show.

We were sad with who went home. But that is why it is "favorite" and not "best"....I can tell you who my favorites are but, other than they are very, very talented, I couldn't tell you who is the best. Evan has a huge fan base (he is one of my favorites) so I suspect he will be around for the final four.

We were very surprised when Kayla didn't go home (we can almost guarantee by commercials done by the news station how she is doing) and my oldest was saddened by Jason going home.

I wish they would have said something about where all of the dancers are now....something generic like 90% are still dancing, professionally now, would have been fine.

There are several choreographers who have sat in as guest judges. I think that I have seen Shane Sparks, Tabitha and Napoleon, Jean Marc Genereaux and Tyce judge the dancers at one time or another.

I think the whole night has been ugh! I'm not impressed with any of the choreography or dancing. At this point, I'm not sure who I want to win. I don't dislike anyone, but I don't have a favorite either.

Edited-After watching again, I did like Brandon's solo, and Jeanine is growing on me. Guess I was too quick in my comments!

Brandon's solo was insane! He should win, hands-down. He's been incredible from the beginning and has remained the most consistent. Kayla was also really good tonight and she's normally not my favorite. I liked both of Evan and Melissa's dances too. I thought the Broadway routine was really cute and the quick step was more entertaining than usual. Jeanine and Ade I could do without.

Evan and Melissa probably should go home.
If it was up to me, I'd send Ade and Jeanine home.
In the end, I think Melissa and Ade will go home.

It probably wasn't his intention, but Lil C sounded racist tonight. I really like Brandon and Ade and think they're amazing dancers, but of all the great dancers on the show it seemed weird that his "dream" was to see the two of them dance together. They have completely different styles... Brandon and Jason would make sense, or even Brandon and Kupono. Brandon and Ade are both contemporary dancers but have nothing else in common, technique-wise. It was just weird to single Evan out.

And NONE of the girls were good in the last routine?! I thought both the girls and guys routines were awesome. Really unique, creative and fun. The girls were great! Kayla was stronger than the other two but they all pulled off a really cool (and difficult) routine. For Lil C to say they were all bad was just....
