So You Think You Can Dance starts tonight!! Who's with me?

I was very happy with the conclusion. I enjoyed seeing some if the routines again. I really enjoyed the judges dancing.

I was disappointed on no updates on the SYTYCD alums. Dancers lead such hard lives it would have been great to hear where are they now.

I just watched the TIVO and was excited to hear that Kherrington from last season is a lead in the new Fame movie. Totally cool.


I do believe the dancers are paid on tour. I think they are paid a stipend on the show as well. (someone feel free to correct me on that--but I can't see how they couldn't be paid a modest wage for a whole season).


I was happy with the outcome. Can't wait for the new season.

I have to say that this season left me a bit empty. They did show the best performances tonight, but this season overall seemed quite lackluster. Hopefully personality will shine through and I hope that Natalie comes back! She's been connected with 2 top 4's. The good vibes have to rub off on her to make the top 20. (To this day I am shocked with what happened with her performance with Sonia's choreogrpahy that got her sent home.)

actually I thought it was great that they came out and danced....not ridiculous at all.

I just wish that Lil C would have been up there with them. That would have been priceless!

They are paid for the show. It is small but that is the reason that Hok was cut from the top 20 in season 2. He didn't have the required visas to work and get paid in the US. He returned season 3 with the proper documentation.

I think I figured what I didn't like about Kayla. 2 of her partners were voted off before the top 10 rotations. I think Jeannine was initially saved by Philliip's popularity and then had a chance to really blossom once he was gone. Both Max and Kupono were cut while partnering Kayla. The first part of the show is a team competition and she was saved in more than one case when her partner wasn't.

I think I figured what I didn't like about Kayla. 2 of her partners were voted off before the top 10 rotations. But she saved herself. The couples were in the bottom three but the solos are individual.

I was happy with the results. I would have been happy with any of the four winning but I wanted either Jeanine or Brandon. I think I would have preferred Brandon but I have liked him since his audition.

One of the young ladies from my DGD dance studio auditioned for SYTYCD for the September season. She made it to the third cut and was a little shellshocked by the audition process. Those kids really work hard just to get in to audition for the judges.

I watched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was happy to see my DGD's dance instructor, ("Miss Hailey" to Kady), go straight to Vegas. She is a fantastic dancer. One other girl from her studio made it to the third cut
