Having a resort reservation puts you at no advantage when receiving an offer. Offers have limited availability, so an early morning call will increase your chances of getting your resort and room type.

For example...say Disney has ten garden view rooms at resort X. You have a room reserved at full price leaving their inventory at nine. Disney decides four garden rooms will get free dining. The first four people to reserve that offer get the available four rooms. Your room is a rack rate (full price room). You need to change it to a FD room.

This is probably why there will be no general FD for the first week of December. I'm just happy that we're all set with the FD pin. I can't wait to see how slow the crowds are for that week.

I called even though we had POR booked. Turns out they had no rooms available with FD so we moved along to a cabin in FW. The org pkg had the dining plan, now we have a cabin with FD for $1100 less. Glad I called

I have had our package booked since May. I ended up going online and booking a whole new package (same exact resort and room type) with the free dining promo. Now I will have to call later to cancel the original. I am just so glad that it is over and done with!! Now....to start getting ready for work so I can pay for the trip.....lol
