So worried that my family will offend people at WDW--long!

As long as you and your family don’t eat canned CORN on the steps of City Hall in the MK…you should be fine.

You will not please all the people all the time. Have fun and be yourself. Be mindfull of the bubbles. We eat what we want when we want ............we are on vacation!!! Right?

They have hypoallergenic bubbles (I bought these at a party store) in case of allergies issues. I'd MUCH rather deal with bubbles than crying kids when stuck in line. We plan to take extra to give out if we see other parents in NEED. Same thing with the glow necklaces. ;)

Feel free to stand right beside me my wife and two girls. None of the things you cited here are the least bothersome to us. Some folks just do not know how to go on vaction or have fun.

Wow! If those are the biggest "crimes" you're worried about, I wouldn't even give it a second thought!

Just don't cut in the front of the line or smoke in a non-designated smoking area and all will be fine..

Stop stressing and have a GREAT time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

I've only been bugged by a stroller once. Yep, I've been hit a few times but that wasn't even it. We got on the tram at MGM and had to wait - a full 10 minutes - while one guy tried to figure out how to fold up his kid's stroller. It was too big to put on without folding. Part of that time was spent standing there looking at it, as if it might fold itself up. Still wondering how they got it into their car in the first place.

I assume you know how to operate your stroller!

WOW! I cannot begin to thank you all enough for your wonderful responses! I have read every word and have taken it all to heart.

While I was reading all the responses, I kind of had an epiphany. Yes, my family will unintentionally annoy some people at some points during our trip, but maybe I can compensate for that overall by spreading a little magic to others each day--someone mentioned bringing extra glowsticks to share; that is such a great idea! And I love offering to take other families' pictures, and also handing out any extra fastpasses we might have. That sort of thing is fun and sets a good example for our boys too!

Thanks to DH deployment schedule we must visit WDW in the peak of summertime just as we did last year, and I know the heat and crowds make everyone's pet peeves just a bit more "peevish" than usual (mine included)! So we will make an extra effort to be considerate to others, but I am not going to WORRY about it anymore! Thanks again everyone! :sunny:

Maybe this will help you as well - you can make it your mantra..:)

"You can please some of the people all of the time.

You can please all of the people some of the time.

But you can't please ALL of the people ALL of the time....";)

I see nothing wrong with any of your concerns except maybe the bubbles...

as a Photographer I might be a little bothered if I were trying to take a picture and bubbles were floating in my way..or more importantly if bubbles were breaking on my equipment

With A Stroller, My DD, her DH and my DGD!!! Thanks for the IDEAS, especially about the Can of Corn Charly, we will ALL be sharing that! ;) :p ::yes:: Also, where can I get those bubbles at?

We have always had a family rule on vacation and that was eat whatever you want whenever you want! We skipped dinner one night and all shared a kitchen sink (a huge sundae) at Beaches and Cream....I think that's two of your worries right there....sharing and skipping a nutritional meal LOL
If you think strollers are bad you should should see DS and I try to get DH's Wheelchair in and out of everywhere. He liked his own instead of renting one.
I think they have those tiny sized bubble containers in the toy stores now that blow the really small, tiny, tiny bubbles, maybe those would be better.
Have fun, I wouldn't worry at all!

I posted this on the bubble poll thread but I never realized that bubbles could offend so many people. I've used them many times to keep DD and other children entertained. I'm the one doing the blowing so there's no fighting and spilling. Since I'm aiming just a few bubbles at a time at the level of a 4 yo it's doubtful they're getting near any adults face. I guess it's possible they could get in someone's eyes but I'd think if someone saw a bubble headed towards them they'd probably pop it. I really try to be considerate of others but sometimes have to weigh my options. Bubbles to keep child happy or risking fussing because child is bored.

Happy mom....none of the things bother me, except the bubbles, and they would just make me anxious. I just can't understand how people with very young children (under2) or are 8-9 mons pregnant can poss. have an enjoyable time...but it's you're (and their) vacation, and they must be having a good time, or they wouldn't be doing it. I just don't have the strength for that...just me, but they don't bother me...babies are so cute, and I never see one crying:p

Have a great time...any one who complains while on vacation obviously has a problem:snooty:

We'll be sharing sodas, eating fast food, and talking on cell phones too:rolleyes:

My guess is if you're concerned enough to start this thread and ask these questions, you are a considerate person and you wouldn't intentionally offend or irritate anyone.

Please relax, go enjoy yourself, and have fun!

I am the mother of the 2 year old that gives new meaning to terrible 2's!!! We are taking him in February along with his big brother and 6 other very loud people I know as my family! There will be cell phones because I am sure we will get seperated and as for stollers, with my two year old if i didn't people would be renting them for me and asking me to use them. We will all be eating bad because to us that is what vacation is about. I agreed with someone earlier that said their 2 year old wouldn't eat in DW because of the excitement. If my two year old won't eat at McDonalds because of the ball pit I know he won't eat at DW. I will get in his stomach whatever I can with or without chocolate.
I will also be doing whatever it takes to keep him happy in line because which is worse, getting hit accidently by a bubble or a phycotic 2 year old screaming his head off non stop with no end?

Don't worry and have a great time!!!
