...it seems to me that there is a strong likelyhood that DVC will be selling points from 4 different resorts at the same time: SSR, AKV, BLT, and GCV.

Is this a first?

My guide made a comment about this yesterday!! First time, as far as he knew.

He said that they were a bit worried about how confusing things could get with different prices/incentives for different properties. Then he laughed and said that since he finally was able to keep all the different AKV incentives straight that he just might be ok!

All the more reason to watch your paper work as you sign your life away. I know when my DBIL was buying at AKV they accidentally typed everything up for SSR. In there excitement they had signed everything and then asked me to take a look at it, and I spotted it. Not sure how easy it would have been to undo that mistake.

Actually, from 1996 - 1997 DVC was selling OKW, VB, HH and BWV. OKW then sold out and then had sales reopen when additional inventory was added (3 Buildings were added where the original Sales Office had been after the Sales Office was moved to BWV).

Both OKW (for a second time) and BWV had sold out before VWL began sales in December, 2000.

Since that time we've had mostly single resorts being sold - although "sold-out" resorts may still be purchased. Since March, 2007 two resorts have been actively sold (SSR and AKV).

no this is not a first. i bought in july or aug 2000 they had 4 differnt ones i could choose from, bwv,okw,hh,vb.

Yes it is sold out. I spoke with my guide. I was looking at adding on at SSR. He said it was sold out but he could get me some points at $104.00 no incentive or discounts. I guess these are buy back points at the right of refusal.

DVC has a history of saying resorts that have been selling for a while are sold out when the inventory is lower and a new resort is selling. They have even formally announced it when points were still readily available for most (HH) or all (VWL) UY. For VWL they actually announced it was sold out around the time BCV came on board anticipating that it would behind the scenes to those who really wanted it, then they formally reopened sales a year or so later for another 6-7 months if my memory serves me. Likely you'll see many posts in the next year about those that wanted to buy BLT but bought SSR direct because it was a lot less, possibly for even better incentives than we've seen so far.
