so, what did you guys get with the 60% off coupon? I got the mm date stamp and then I got hermafix refills (gotta love having a mom in the area who doesn't go to m's). They were marking your coupon at the door so that if you felt like it, you could use it later in the day? (my thought on this was, I'm here now and I'm NOT coming back later... although they also marked the 50% off coupon that was technically only good between 8-10 so I could I guess go back later and use that one) maggie

Wow, you had a 60% off? Our paper had 50% off 6-8, 40% 8-10. Then there were some Turkey Bucks to use depending on the total of purchase. But I didn't bother to get up and go out that early. I couldn't think of anything I need or want to get me out of my toasty, warm bed that early.

Nope, didn't get to Michael's this morning - too far a ride and waaaaay too much traffic where it is. I am debating about going to A.C. Moore later today tho as they have a 50% off one item coupon for the whole day.

Have you played with your new toys yet? I am HOPING to get some scrapbooking done this weekend...also hope to get the Christmas cards envelopes stamped.

I didn't make it for 6 am, but I was there before 8. Our store was also marking the coupons and letting us use both the 50 and the 60 at the same time, if you stayed until after 8 (we did). And, my very awesome nephew was standing right there with me with another set of coupons! He found a pack of really neat embossed paper that he thought we should use when we scrap our Disney albums. I usually use my coupons to stock up on paper, which we did today.

I got there around 7, after getting dressed, eating and then waking my son and dressing him. I got the Paper Taker with the 60% off, I forget who it's by, but I've been needing one since my other plastic one broke. They didn't mark our coupons at the door, I might have stuck around and used both at the same time had they done that. They were giving out tickets for a drawing they were having at 8, I don't know if I won since I was out of there by then... I might go back tomorrow and get the PSB, I've been wanting that also. I just saw that my Joann's has the Navigator for 49.99, so I might be making a trip up there later tonight hopefully after the crowds die down, not sure if they will still have it though...

We hit two. The first one was at 6 am ( first in the door ). Got lots of Anna Grifin stuff with 60% off coupons ( stamps, punches ). Hubby was at Walmart to get the DVD player and than we hit Kmart. They were given out gift certificates. We hit the jackpot-$50.00 ! Brought a new crock pot and a nail/hand wax kit for my youngest daughter. Got something for my Secret Santa person and than hit the second Michaels ( way to crazy so we picked up a few things and left ). Hitting AC Moore later tonight or tommorrow.

Our Michael's had a raffle at 7,8 and 9. you had to be present to win so I stayed til 7:00 but no luck. They had a scrappers basket,cake dec. basket and then just a fun craft basket. If DH did not have to be at work I might have gone back for the other drawings. (I live a 1.5 miles away). I got the sizzix lollipop letters went to the car, came back bought a lawn decoration, went to car came back and got a sizzix frame die cut. Too bad I have to wait till christmas morning to use them and my sizzix that my mom got me.

Of course the people at our Michael's were just as rude at 6:00 am as they always are.

Despute the fact that I had said I'd rather be dipped in hot oil than shop on Black Friday, I ended up at Walmart at 7:15 and at Michael's by 7:40.

Walmart was busy, but I had 1 goal, and that was the $79.99 GameCube. Since you have to pay for those in the Electronics dept, and there was miraculously no line, I was in & out in under 15 minutes! (The clerk told me that it was smart to get there around 7:00-7:30, bc the 6 am fanatics are done, and the people trying to beat 8 am haven't arrived. Who knew?)

I then hit Michaels and it was everything I expected Walmart to be. There were lines 25-30 people deep at each register. They were marking coupons there, too, but only bc you couldn't move around to shop, nonetheless check-out, so the manager was taking pity.

I had only gone to buy the MM toolkit, and was just about to give up bc I wasn't going to get 60% off bc it was marked down, and I was not standing in a 30 minute line for anything less than 60% off, when they opened the register at Framing!! I was standing right there, actually leaning on that counter! So I bought it at 30% off, figuring I might as well since I was there...

I just noticed this part of your post. We have that problem too at all 3 local Michaels. What is up with that? Could it be that terrible of a place to work? Does yours ever have enough registers open? Mine only had 1 register on the Sunday b4 Thanksgiving!
