So who are the DISers that are back at college?

I start September 4th..... I'm going to a Jr.College that has classes every 8 weeks, so 2 classes is full time. They accepted my english from the last time I went to college so I only have to take one class this time.... I'm taking Medical Terminology. My course is Medical billing and coding....it's only a year program- I couldn't face anymore school than that right now! My books cost $112...... which isn't bad, but I was floored that neither one is a hardcover book.

Best wishes and good luck to all those who are returning to their educational endeavors. And a big thanks to all the teachers on the DIS for your dedication to your profession to teach.

I started back up at the University of Central FL this past Monday. I am a Poly Sci major with an emphasis on International Relations. I am taking:

Crime and the Media (2 books)
Serial Murder (3 books)
Organized Crime (2 books)
CyberLaw (0 books)

Don't feel bad Mermaid not one of my books are hardcover and they cost well over $300.

Anyone else think it is kinda cheesy when a professor requires one of the books he has written to be used in the class.

I'm in the second quarter of a year-long teacher ed/masters in ed program at Stanford. In addition to co-teaching 2 periods of 11th grade US History (ack!, juniors!) I also have four classes:

Classroom Management
Curriculum and Instruction: Social Studies
Adolescent Development
Teaching Seminar/Practicum
