So what will US offer to counteract new IOA attractions?

With Hagrids being such a huge draw and Velocacoaster expected to be even more popular what do you think US will plan to counteract the high crowds that will be heading to IOA?

Could we finally see The Ministry Of Magic take shape in the Fear Factor area?

Could Nintendo World take shape in the pet arena/kids area near E.T?

Will Fast & Furious be replaced by a ride that is actually popular?

I feel that US us falling too far behind IOA now and crowds will flock to IOA, leaving US as a minimal park. It will also be left behind for quite some time as nothing has been announced, let alone started on.

Or will Universal concentrate on Epic Universe once the pandemic is over and leave US alone?

There have been no announcements of any changes to Studios and with the pandemic, I can’t see them adding anything new for years. Even the new park will be delayed by 5-10 years now due to this.

Personally I would be happy with No Construction walls , etc for one year at Universal and WDW ...

Bourne just opened 1/2 a year ago in USF. It's a pretty significant new attraction but didn't get the amount of fanfare it probably would have received if not for the pandemic.

When I went in October, Bourne turned away crowds.

It stayed full most of the days I went.

It was worth waiting in line for it.

The Bourne stunt show is absolutely worth waiting for. I saw it in Oct and was blown away. I'm glad to see more non water rides in IOA.

I could see Nintendo go in if Epic Universe gets delayed by multiple years, otherwise I think it will stay as part of Epic Universe, that or possibly sub it out for a different Nintendo property like Pokémon. If this doesn't' happen I could see Ministry of Magic coming in a few years. It's really the only major HP area not yet utilized in the parks, and with Epic Universe rumored to be using Place Cachee and the French Ministry it leaves the British ministry open as an expansion of Diagon Alley.

If your going to do Nintendo you need to go big, won't just be a single ride or few stores and a restaurant. Needs it's own large land... not sure how much area is available in US. Would definitely be saved for new park if that happens.

Original plans had it going in KidZone with space for both the Mario (with 2 rides) and Donkey Kong (with 1 ride) lands, but then that plan was scrapped for the new park.

Now with the new park on hold, there has been some chatter of it possibly (but unlikely) coming back to KidZone

No, they find themselves at capacity often enough now

The allure of the park2park tix is strong. No diehard HP fan wants to skip the train, especially on their first visit.

If anything U may employ their own in-park capacity resitrictitons into their different ‘lands’. Along the line of what they did earlyon for the popular castle light show. It’s not the time to have people cheek to cheek.

Both HP areas can get tight when it’s crowded. IOA especially tends to bottleneck both on the bridge and past the owl barn. If they do go to full capacity sooner vs later, some form of additional crowd control will need to be implemented.

No data to support, but have surmised that a larger % (vs WDW) of U AP holders are locals. crowds or not, if the economy supports it, people will still visit the parks to make use of their APs.

As with all parks, new attractions = more guests. Like many other regulars, we learned to hit the next best thing as early as possible, then head out to a less crowded area to enjoy the rest of our day.

Nothing stopping them from splitting up the Nintendo stuff just like they did with HP. Mario Land in one park, Pokemon or Zelda or whatever in another.

That's what I imagine they will do in the long run anyway. Can easily see Pokémon taking over KidsZone and the Zelda taking over Lost Continent make sense as the current architecture for both parts with the ruins and bazaar fit in pretty well with the series.
Wonder if we might see some more general Nintendo areas that are less IP specific but can go together. Like a space themed area that includes Metroid, Star Fox, and possibly F-Zero. Don't see any of these getting dedicated lands/minilands but would love to see attractions for some.

This ride is still relatively new. Even though its not the most popular, it will not be replaced for quite a while solely due to the cost factor.

I agree. AT most I can see the rumors of a new video that is still F&F based, such as Hobbs and Shaw, replacing it. That way the overall ride and theming doesn't have to change but it can be updated still.
