Since polls seem to be a popular item right now, I thought let's try another.

Answers are multiple choice, so you may select more than one. (Some however are mutually exclusive so be careful)

We own a vacation home, but it could be year round, in Cape May NJ. We own this with my DSis, who lives in NJ, so she can get to it more frequently, we use it for larger blocks of time. We had our agreement drawn up by a lawyer in '98 and it's worked wonderfully for us.

Going to our Cape May home is MUCH more of a vacation for me then it is for DH. Even though that home was built in the late 1980's, DH often seems to have work to do when he's there. He's not ever going to swim in the ocean, and doesn't really enjoy being on the beach. He looks at that home as an investment, which it also is. I love our Cape May home, as much as I love my DVC.

DH's preference for vacations is an experience like a cruise. Unpack once, and stay and enjoy. So, DVC is perfect for him, we have WDW to explore. I'm the lucky one in this family, I love both places.

We own a vacation home on the coast of Maine. It is also a year round home that will someday be where we retire too. But in the mean time, it is a great investmet and a wonderful place for our kids to spend time. The DW and 4 kids spend the summer there and I do many long weekends between work. It is really our "home away from home". That's why I really don't care one way or another about the whole DVC "welcome home" thing. I don't want to be home while at WDW. I want to be on vacation.

At the moment we own at BCV and a 2 bed room condo in Myrtle Beach. We are in the process of selling the condo though and close on March 21st. We owned for 13 months and after paying realestate fees we are clearing $1****. We are going to put that into a new bigger primary residence.

Hi,

We are now the proud owners of BWV's :cool1: , we also have an RV that we use from late spring to late fall, we try to get away for long weekends at least once a month.
See ya all at disney

We own at BWV and a static red ski week at the Westin Resort at Whistler-Blackcomb. The Westin is a gorgeous resort that cost us a lot more money than BWV did but we wouldn't sell it for anything.

I only checked off "We own at DVC and own at 2 or more home resorts" (OKW & VB) and "We own at one other timeshare that is not DVC" (Hilton Grand Vacation Club - Sea World).
I didn't think you'd want me to count AAA as "We are members of a travel club/organization " and "Something else we think qualifies" being a tent/picnic table/nearest tree for sleep, cook, bath facilities! :rotfl:

We own 100 points at VB and have a little farm on the banks of a river in Northern Minnesota...about as different as night and day! The one thing they share is that we don't get enough time to spend at either one! Too many commitments at home in the "city"... :sad2:

We own at BWV,I feel like I own a house near disney because we rent it every year..but we dont have to pay maitenance costs.
