So what is the deal with the Lime Green?

Lime green is the disboards official color it can tell us which is dissers in the parks hope that helps

Go to Lowes and get a lime green paint chip (in Disney ears) and decorate...so we can say "Are you on the DisBoards?"

I leave for Florida later today (Friday) and I decided to play along with the lime green game. I stopped by the Home Depot last night to grab my lime green, Mickey-headed, paint samples to decorate the backpack, stroller, etc.

Now since I'm a dude, and genetically predisposed to not be able to tell the difference between eggshell and off-white, I need a little help here. Which green is the official lime green of the disboards? They had two colors very similar to each other and I didn't want to make the dastardly faux pas of representing with the wrong one.

The brighter of the two lime green colors is what they call Sonic Boom. The lighter of the two is a litter more on the yellowish side and they call it Alien Green. I know several people here have used these paint chips, which one should I go with? I was goint to cut the mouse ears shape out, put two back to back, write "KayakDaddy" on each side, and laminate them together. Then I'll hang them on the backpack or the stroller.

Last year at Epcot, I wore a superbright, lime green polo shirt - expecting to meet lots of new friends - but it must not have been obvious enough. Please help with my color shading dilemna!

I'll give you "A" for effort KayakDaddy. My personal opinion is these days there is so much lime green worn (British seem to favor it) more times than not it probably isn't a fellow DISer. In my role as a CM, I can't tell you how many times I've asked guests wearing lime green something if they were on the DIS Board and they had no idea what I was talking about

All DISers wearing lime green in a certain shape (Home Depot Mickey samples) or the ever popular lime green ribbon would do more to help identify your fellow DISer these days. Also makes it easier for others to approach you.

Just my opinion.

I want to play!! When we go in Sept I am planning to tie lime green ribbons to the stroller. I was also thinking of getting two of the mickey head paint samples, gluing them back to back and hanging them with the ribbons. That should be pretty obvious.

That is so cooolll! I've seen so many reports of DISers meeting in FL. Some of them because their planned here and some because they identify each other because of the Lime-green Mickey's heads....I'll have to get mines.

I'm partial to Alien Green. I've noticed in the last year or so that lime green clothing is very popular. To get DISd use a ribbon, zipper pull or other accessory.

So what's the proper or preferred etiquette for "out-ing" yourself to a fellow Disser?

What's a good way to ask if someone is member/participant without sounding like a fool if they are not?

I think that if I asked somebody if they were a Disser and they looked at me like I had three eyeballs, I would sell the Disboards to them - Like "Well you should check it out, you can learn thousands ideas for saving money, eating well, and maximizing you time"! They'll think I'm working on commission!

I'm not into wearing lime green shirts or anything, however, I will be sporting a fanny pack (not lime green!) Is there anything lime green that I could possibly pin onto the fanny pack. I can't do anything drastic to it because I am borrowing someone elses! Thanks for the info!
