So...what brings you to the DIS?

I remember there being a thread on this, but we have so many new people, I thought I'd bring it up again. It's really interesting to see what other people did before the DIS, and why they're here. Here's my story:

I started off on the UK Disney boards, just randomly (I'm not from the UK, but I just found my way onto those boards. I don't go on them anymore). So my mom was looking for info for our next trip, she found the DIS, got hooked, then introduced me to it. And obviously, I'm hooked now too! Anyways, what's your story?

I was a member on another board....but I hardly posted just mostly browsed/read things. Then one day I googled searched something Disney and
voila! This site came up and I've been hooked ever since!

Well- my mother had been on it for ages. She never really introduced me to it, I just knew she was on it because I've been through her Favorites before. Anyways, a while back when we were deciding whether to go to Universal or not, she just said take a look here, and instead of looking where I was supposed to, I joined on the Teen Boards.

My mom found it many many years before I joined. (Actually just 4, but you get the point...) I originally joined becuase I was going to Discovery Cove, and went on that board a lot. I then found the Teen Dis, and have been here ever since.

i know that my aunt had joined for a while because she showed me something on here about the death on BTRR and that was in 2003 so a year after that in December i remembered about it because we weren't going that year and that made me want to know about what is happening so i came to this site and made a new account for my mum and me because her she forgot the password to the original account (marypops) then i started posting on here mainly on the theme parks attractions and stategies board and then started posting here

In 2001 when me and my mom were searching for info about the Disney Cruise, we came across the DIS cruise boards. I went snooping around the other boards, found the Teen Board, and haven't stopped since!

Wow, I've been on here for over 5 years now... I feel old...

Well, I was bored and wanted to search Disney on Google when I clicked on the DIS homepage. (www.wdwinfo.com) I found my way to the message board, read other people's posts and I got interested, made my own account (several times ) and got hooked!



And can you believe that my dad's been on this site since 1999ish and never told me about it?! (And can you believe that he only has 200 posts and I have 2,000? )

Mom was searching on this site and I was like HEY COOL and found the Teen DIS after being bored with the adults...had to beg to sign up because I was a very protected 13 year old, and have been here ever since! FOUR YEARS! WOW!

Well, about three years ago, I was very much looking forward to a Disney cruise, and was looking for information about the cruise I was going on, and I kind of just came across this site. I created an account, and voila- I am where I am today!
