So what bothers you at WDW that may not bother anyone else???

Ok, I would like to know what may bother you that probably doesn't bother anyone else. Conversely, I would like to know what may irk others, but you are generally OK with at WDW.

For instance, what would probably irk only me is when people are in line and they are not paying attention when the line moves. Listen, it can move a foot and I'm secretly boiling over because the people are so engaged in their conversation that they aren't paying attention to the line! Now I don't say anything because it's really petty and silly, but that's just a weird pet peeve.

Oh, and another pet peeve is when people are at WDW and they are running with their small kids across the park to make some fastpass somewhere. Especially when you can clearly see the angst in the kids' faces and the adults are yelling at them to hurry up! :sad2: I want to step in and tell them to chill so bad. And introduce them to this cool WDW app that allows you to change FPs on the fly!

However, I see people get upset and complain about "bad" service in restaurants. Like food taking a long time or servers getting your order wrong. But that never bothers me. I'm a waiter's dream because I will tip you well even if you give me bad service.:rolleyes1

So- what bothers you that doesn't bother others? And what may irk others that you are perfectly OK with?

It bothers me when I don't get a seat on the bus. It's no one's fault of course, but I'm lazy and hate standing cause I know I'll be standing all day in the parks and I don't want to on the bus haha.

What doesn't bother me that I've seen bother other people is when you get out of the videos for queues like Dinosaur, Tower of Terror, or Haunted mansion and everyone scrambles to be first out and they get mad when people "cut" them in line. I'm the one hanging back letting everyone go in front of me cause I hate rushing like that.

Not just at WDW, but in general: when I'm at a CS and the people in front of me keep talking to each other about unrelated subjects, and only when they get to the register they start to look and the menu and take forever to decide what they want.

I'm not bothered by little mistakes by waiters, like bringing the wrong drink (usually it can be solved quickly), but slow service... especially when there aren't many people in the restaurant... I would speak up. They are waisting my precious park time! ;)

I don't really mind waiting in line too much. And like Ambear said I'm not a rush to the front kind of person either. But I really don't like when people abuse the use of their scooters. Ex: getting off the scooter to run across the street to dance wildly with Push the Trashcan. And people who sneer at you when you are trying to be friendly, especially when it's a kid who is trying to be friendly

The only thing that ever bothered me at WDW besides people who couldn't use the FP+ kiosk to save their lives...LOL
Is adults who are in such a hurry they knock over little girls with their big bodies trying to get to the front of the parade. Poor little one went flying with her cupcake and skinned knees...not even a turn back from the adult to see if she was okay. I get so frustrated with adults pushing their way through little children. I know WDW is for everyone but come on.

I don't mind waiting in the queues. I loved looking at all the unique things on especially at EE or Dinosaur for example. Made the ride a little more interesting and the queue for me was part of the experience.

You know, the honest truth, I really try not to let a whole lot of anything bother me at Disney World. I'm not gonna say that I'm 100% successful, but I try. I'm there to have fun, not to be bothered by stuff that I have no control over.

The thing that gets me every time is when two different groups of people are walking and their paths are about to cross, but one group makes no attempt to stop, change their path, or acknowledge that you are even there. I feel like I'm the one that let's the other person go first 99.9% of the time... which is fine, but a simple thanks or a head nod would be nice. One of these days I’m just going to keep going and run over someone… well, not really, but it has crossed my mind.

Great question!

File under pet peeves I know are totally crazy: it drives me nuts when people get the names wrong. They call Magic Kingdom "Disney," or they say/write they are going to "O'Hana," like it's an Irish place, or "'Ohana's," like it's a possessive. THE WORST: "O'HANA'S"!!. I know that these things do not matter at all, and yet I cringe a little when I hear them and others like them. Maybe it's an English teacher thing.

File under pet peeve that genuinely bothers me, but that I know most people don't agree with: I hate when people sit down at a table before they have their food. I know, I know...my kids can't stand in line, one of us orders for everyone, I'm tired, blah blah blah. I get it. There are benches everywhere. Let the group go sit down there and meet you after you gather their food, and THEN go sit down at a table. If everybody just sat down when they had their food, nobody would have to be trolling for tables with a loaded tray.

PHEW...fun to get that out of my system! Thanks, OP!

My current biggest WDW pet peeve is when people squat at CS tables without food while someone else orders and people with food roam around looking for a table and their food gets cold. If this is you, yes ... I know why you do it and it still bugs me.

Something that bugs others but doesn't bug me ... maybe pool hoppers? As long as I can find a seat and they are polite I really don't care.

Dr Gunnie, are you male or female? I am female and I noticed that I also tend to give way to the other group so they can continue to walk abreast. Sometimes I don't and I would say that I bump shoulders with the other person (ALWAYS a male) about half the time.

Jinx!

I hang back because the thought of cutting in front of people (whether real or imagined) gives me anxiety. So I just go last.

What really bothers me? Cast members who aren't in character and who would clearly rather be anywhere else. Kind of ruins the mood when they act like that.

It doesn't bother me when people hold spots for their families for parades. I know this really irks some people, but the way I see it is they got there first.

I'm annoyed if I go into a crowded quick service restaurants and all of the tables are taken up by people who are not eating. I watched 3 or 4 tables sit with no food while I ate on the ground. We finished our whole meal and left before they got any food (or maybe they were just sitting and not eating). People taking tables and not eating wouldn't bother me so much in real life because they typically aren't just sitting to relax.

I don't mind standing on the buses. It's become such a norm that I don't really think about it anymore. The buses get full enough each time that I almost always end up giving up my seat for someone who needs it more. ...and since I'm talking buses, a lot of people can't stand them. We like them. I love not having to worry about driving.

Not sure if others are bothered by these two, but I can't stand them...
  • The "carni" area in Animal Kingdom
  • The "tombstones" with all the little photos on them in front of Epcot.

One thing that completely annoys me is, when people insist on bringing their over the top, super huge, stroller into a very crowded store. There is hardly any room for a person and you come barreling through, knocking things off shelves, hitting other people, all while Jr isn't even sitting in the thing! Then you leave your stroller right in the middle of the place to go chase Jr, who is not listening to you squawk at them to stop doing whatever it is they are doing! Ok, all good :)

I really don't mind standing on the buses either. It doesn't take too long to get where we are going, so to me it's no big deal.

A lot of things bug me at Disney Parks. :)

You have obviously gotten nothing but good luck changing the FP+s. I have not. You cannot always get exactly what you want. And...people have to be places on time all throughout life. 5 minutes of rushing to get to something fun isn't so bad.

The thing that gets me every time is when two different groups of people are walking and their paths are about to cross, but one group makes no attempt to stop, change their path, or acknowledge that you are even there. I feel like I'm the one that let's the other person go first 99.9% of the time.

Bothered me so much I've stopped giving way. And amazingly, even the biggest sternest looking dude will move if YOU don't move. (so now I am the one that doesn't give way LOL)

it drives me nuts when people get the names wrong. They call Magic Kingdom "Disney,"

Eh, MK is part of Disney. It's not wrong. Calling it Epcot would be wrong. Calling Disneyland "Magic Kingdom" is wrong (and MK Disneyland). But "Disney" is everything Disney.

Now we just go when we want and dh meets us there later.

So glad you got to that point.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I'm referring to sentences like this: "We aren't going to Disney tomorrow. We're going to Epcot instead." (The person means "Magic Kingdom" when she says "Disney.") Does that make better sense?

Just back from a weeklong trip and two of the most annoying things to ever happen to our family happened during the same lunch. Eating at a outdoor table in AK trying to enjoy a nice meal when the family with 3 children under the age of 5 beside us decide that the perfect time and place to change their baby's poopy diaper is right at the table next to us!!! Trying to avoid that unpleasantness, turning to the other side of our table and the gentleman beside me has taken off his sneakers and socks and is picking at blisters on his feet!!! Does being at Disney immediately made all hygiene matters that should be done away from others who are ingesting a meal routine? Also saw another diaper change on a table at HS while we were sitting drinking beers/margaritas outside of the commissary. Is it that difficult to go to changing station within a restroom?
