So we're eating at the Yachtman at 6pm and want to catch the 10:30pm Fantasmic...?

Just wondering what the best use of transportation would be if we had a 6pm PS at the Yachtman Steakhouse and then want to see the 10:30pm Fantasmic...we will have a car, but I'm not sure if the best idea is to drive to the Yacht and Beach Club or not. Would we be able to catch the MGM boat after dinner (not sure how long it runs)?? What would you DISers suggest??

Thanks!

I recommend driving to YC for dinner and then taking boat from there to MGM after dinner. It is a quick trip back to YC on the boat from MGM. Boats run at least 30minutes after park closing. Have your PS # handy when you drive to YC in case the guard asks for it. We have never had a problem driving to BC for a meal and unlike Poly, they have never given us a 3 hour parking pass; just waved us on after asking for PS. We also have also always been a WDW resort guest and when they see the parking pass, they usually waved us on.

You could also drive to MGM first. Then take the boat to Yachtsman and then take the boat back to MGM after dinner. When you come out of MGM your car will be waiting there in the parking lot.

You might consider going to Epcot for Illuminations the night you have dinner at the Yaht club. We parked and went to Cape May Cafe for dinner, toured the boardwalk, and stepped into Epcot for the fireworks and when it was over we walked back to the car in 15 minutes. We figured we got back to POR before most people even got to the front gate. It was a HUGE ADVANTAGE. We avoided the whole exiting-the-park madness, which is giving me a headache just thinking about it. You'll still experience the crush of the masses if you go to Fantasmic, even if you park at the Yaht club.
