.... pictures of our first year and our last year at DW in the kitchen
.....those little complimentary lotions and body wash bottles in the shower
.... planning the next vacation in the living room
.....reading on-line forums about other members vacations in the family room

How about you....?

I keep my castle ornament in my office year round. Something about the castle just mesmerizes me, and seeing it inspires me to keep dreaming about a return. :love:

I have a Mickey guest room, mickey napking holders, mickey antenna topper, a Mickey outline in gold hanging in our office................and am constantly planning our next trip.

We camp almost every weekend in the summer. In the camper, I have Mickey items (soap and lotion dispensers, flatware, ice cube tray, glasses and mugs, paper towel holder, pillows, a stuffed Mickey and Minnie on the bed, etc.) Also, to remind us of DVC, I use Palmolive dish soap. LOL As soon as I start to use it, I think of WDW! :cloud9:

Always read the Boards check WDW page everyday for discounts, DVC page for our waitlist's (STILL waiting) and ALWAYS planning the next trip with my DW:thumbsup2

Laptop in kitchen.....for frequent checking of the boards. Lots of Mickey kitchen stuff. I mean....A LOT. We have some Disney bath towels from way back when they had the linen store at DTD. They have held up remarkably well. Magnets and pictues on the fridge, music in CD player in the van. Me and the kids play it all the time. I sometimes listen to the music in the house too when I am cleaning. I have reading material on nightstand pertaining to up and coming trips. I have various nick/nack stuff here and there throughout the house too. When you come into our home...........you know that we are Disney Lovers. :thumbsup2

How about you....?
For years, I do mean years, I wanted to buy the bathtub-shaped soapdish from the Boardwalk's gift shop. That silly little soapdish spoke to me every visit -- but our real-life condo didn't need it and it wouldn't have seen any use. It became something we'd look at and say, "... maybe someday when we have a house."

Three years ago this month we put an offer on a house ... and bought the soapdish a week after we closed. It is a subtle feature in our entry bath and receives comments from everyone who visits. It is still a silly thing -- but I love it.

I do all of these too! Now that I think about it, I might have a problem ;) I think about Disney WAY too much these days, but maybe because we are working on getting our first 25 points. I'm sure things will calm down once that's done. :lmao: Oh - I also wear a Disney sweatshirt and sweatpants when I'm feeling down - it always cheers me up.

Book trips and travel to Disney every 2-3 months, Buy DVC, read these boards whenever I can get a spare minute, antenna topper, mickey salt and pepper shakers, mickey ears, keep every ad that comes in the mail, order the planning DVD, Christmas tree decorations, refridgerator magnets, and after we close, hours of phone ordering of everything DVC. As you can see, we like Disney.:rotfl2:

Change the background on the PC about once a week from the Disney picture of the day thread.

What we have to keep the magic alive year round...
  • Fridge magnets from each visit
  • Digital picture frame with Disney visit photos
  • Mickey and Minnie strategically placed around the house
  • Mickey keychains
  • Disney shirts/sweatshirts
  • These boards and other sites
  • Disney podcasts
  • Watching others stream live from Disney resorts
  • Perpetual trip planning (thanks to DVC)
  • Our kids and the memories we (often) share
:thumbsup2

We don't display too much disney in our home due to its Victorian nature - BUT - wherever possible we reuse our room keys: as magnets, glued to bulldog clips, for zipper pulls, added to key rings, etc. Sometimes it is necessary to cut them to size, but I have found craft punches that work real well for such trimming.

I also have a mickey mouse cordless phone [pd $7.50 @a Target clearance a couple of years ago] and since my toaster died before we left for HHI last week, I just might buy the Mickey toaster when I get home!

I use my Mickey waffler for waffles and quesadillas
Disney Movies
Make slideshows of our WDW pictures set to Disney music
Watch every Disney program that comes on the Travel Channel
Plan vacations (real ones and ones that might never actually happen)
Play with Caskbills DVCplanner and dream of my next trip!

We have lots of pictures around the house. DW has scrapbooks from our trips. Our basement is decorated with alot of Disney items, including my pin trading necklaces from our trips. I have a Tower of Terror screensaver right now.

And, this may be going too far, I have one of our XM radio presents in the car set to the Orlando weather report. Got to know what the weather is like at the world!!!!:rotfl2:

Have my mickey ponytail holder in my pocket ready to put my hair up before going to the OR. Makes everyone smile! :goodvibes

This thread is fun.

DH has orlando temp and such on his computer at work so he can keep track of it every minute. He also checks the WDW news daily.

I check these boards constantly throughout the day, have a mickey portfolio holder at work that I use as well.

We keep the Christmas tree up at our house year round with mickey ornaments on. There are also mickey and minnie towels in the bathroom, character drawings from WDW around the house and to top it off we have a curio cabinet loaded with WDW collectibles.

These are some of the things that remind me of Disney World all year through:

* Our Boardwalk bathrobes hanging in the bathroom
* My Mickey antenna topper
* Group Disney photos dating from 1999 on fridge, mantel and sofa table
* The current official and unofficial guides, yes I buy a new one every year
* Our Mickey Toaster, love the music
* My Lenox Minnie & Mickey bride and groom that my sister gave me for my 25th anniversary twelve years ago
* Two Swarovski Dumbos from many, many years ago
* My Laila perfume
* Disney clothing
* Checking out the DIS as often as possible

funny, but i feel the same about that soapdish ~ just love seeing a gentle reminder that we own at the BWV :cloud9: (shower curtains are from the GF).

other than that, pretty much the same as others: illuminations on the way to/fro work (w/ finger "orchestra direction":rolleyes: ), cels, big figs.
we outfitted our master bedroom in grand floridian decor: the fairies comforter (blue fairy, tink, flora/fauna/merriweater), bedskirt, 6 HUGE pillows, drapes, gf prints.........gotta love e-bay (& btw: yes, all bedding was washed:) )
we have one kitchen decorated in classic pooh and the other in blue/silver mickey.
most of our "stuff" is subtle (except for the big figs), where it looks elegant or trendy, and you need to take a closer look to realize it's disney.

sadly, i can't imagine a home devoid of disney ~ it would be too sterile....:confused3
