Hey everyone,
I don't know if anybody remembers a thread called, "I don't know what to name this thread *yet*" or whatever it was called. Anyway I just wanted to ask for prayers and pixie dust to go to my Mom tomorrow morning and for the next two weeks. She's going to be having surgery on her right hip. She's been dealing with bone spurs and arthritis for several years and the time has come for her to have this surgery. So if you can please pray and send pixie dust for her to have a super fast recovery and heal as soon as possible that'd be most appreciated.
Aside from that, these next few days will be a huge deal.. I guess you could say, me and my Dad are going to really have to get along and not cause fights. Sometimes its hard to get him on the same page as where I am at - what I'm dealing with and stuff. So yeah, I just had to let this all out now so that I wasn't mad and upset about all of this going on.
Thanks for the prayers and pixie dust going to all of us here, expescially the prayer and pixie dust going towards my Mom. I'll be keeping this all updated through the week/weekend and through the up coming weeks so that you all know how she's doing and how we're all doing with this.
------------
Update 1/8/09:
We took my mom to the hospital and we got a few systems for her when she gets home. This guy had us take a cold system thing and told us how to use it, we're going to be getting another system soon, too. My mom is just going to be playing it by year after the surgery. We met the doctor (my dad and I), and he told us that the surgery sometimes takes 2 and a half to about 3 and a half hours, and that he doesn't rush anything. They told my mom that she could stay in the hospital for the night (23 hours and then go home tomorrow) or go home today, she's leaning toward going home today if all is well and if she feels the need to come home rather than staying at the hospital. My Dad and I will be going back to the hospital in a few hours to sit and wait to hear from the doctor. So I'm home now..will be home for a few hours until then.
So thank you all again for the prayers and pixie dust! We're all thankful for the support groups we have during this time. I need to remind myself to take this all one step at a time. I will be updating this later and see what happens with my Mom and let you all know what's up.

Second update on 1/8/09:
Earlier my Dad and I went back to the hospital and waited for the doctor to tell us what he did and how the surgery went for my Mom. The doctor told us that he took care of the bone spure and its no longer there. My mom was able to go home, she's at home now. We brought her home a few hours ago. She's resting and has the ice system on the side of where the insision was made. She has to keep moving her feet (both feet) so that she doesn't get a blood clot, (don't want that to happen, I've had my share of one before and they Suck badly!) Anyway, so she's home and my Dad is the care giver for her and she's got pain medication that she'll be taking every 3 to 4 hours. One medication is stronger than the other medication for her to take (depends on her pain level if she needs the stronger med but if not she'll still take the pain med because we don't want her to have to play catch up with the pain...if that makes sense).
After we got my mother back home my Dad and I went out to grab some dinner at a Red Robbin's and so we're making it, its going to be a pretty long two weeks. Thank goodness I'll be able to go to school next week so that I'm not constently around my Dad too much...I mean I do need my life, ya know? Lol. Anyway that's about it for now.
Thanks to everyone keeping her and my family in your prayers and best wishes to us. Means a lot to me, and earlier when my Mom was just waking up from her surgery and was able to see my Dad and I - I told her that she had an even bigger support group.
(meaning, I made this thread and that I'm telling you guys how everything is going). Thanks everybody.
Like I keep saying, I will keep you all updated on how she's doing and how we're all doing over here.
