ever had to dissect?
did you have fun?
did it gross you out?

hope yall liked the pictures. =p

lol frog head...

I've never dissected an animal before (mainly because I didn't take Biology for a GCSE)

I thought it would be so much worse then that with blood squirting everywhere and so on...

I might take Biology as a GCSE because i'm getting interested in animals and would like to take a Degree in Zoology.

blood doesn't squirt.
i got squirted with some water though.

I actually asked my science teacher if we were ever to dissect frogs and she said no. :[ I don't think I could do it though, I'd be upset and/or grossed out.

Ive dissected a dogfish, a catfish, a squid and a turtle and I'm doing a pig on the 26th.

It was awesomely fun. We cut a tentacle off and chashed this one kid. haha.

Doesn't gross me out, I love it.
My favourite parts finding out what their last meal was.

We discected sheep lungs and a cow's eye in elementary school...but that's about it.
It wasn't gross.
In fact I was the one to blow into the lungs (through this straw tube...not actaully touching the organ that could make you sick) before discected so we could see how it looks 'breathing'

Loved the pics : )

We are supposed to later on this year, online...
D:
I want to do it in class, it sounds so much fun.

I want a frog head puppet!! xD

Those pictures are the coolest.

P.S. - You're really gorgeous Shelby :goodvibes

in bio this year we've dissected a starfish, a fish, and starting tomorrow we're dissecting a fetal pig.

i'm overjoyed.

:scared: I'm not sure I'd enjoy dissecting a frog. But it looks like you guys had fun. :thumbsup2

i look better out of that apron, i swear. ;)

We'll be dissecting frogs by the end of the year. I had the opportunity to dissect a sheep's heart this year on a field trip - I opted not to. And next year I'll dissect a pig or something like that.

=]

We dissected crawfish in 8th grade. I was convienently sick that day.

Those pictures are....interesting. Looks like y'all had fun anyways though.

OT: Your teacher looks cool, she doesn't appear much older than you guys.

i had to disect a rat in grade 11 bio.
i was totally grossed out by it at first.
especially because you had to break its arms & pin them back, then break the ribcage and pin that back--the sound & feeling of the cracking bones was completely horrendous.

but after that it wasn't so bad. it was pretty cool.
stank really bad in the bio room for a month afterward though!!

my boyfriend is taking bio/life science/human kenetics in university and in his 3rd or 4th year he has to disect a

HUMAN CADAVER!!!!!

i
could
never/ :scared:

we had scissors to crack the bones. we had to break the collar bone, adn crack the ribs, some cracked the skull to look at the brain, too.

i would love to sit in on a human dissection. i'm not sure if i could participate, but i'd love to watch.

i'm a freak like that.

We already did that. I didn't dissect it though.

crawfish are weirddd.

she just turned 25 at the beginning of this month. we're here second year of teaching.

Shelby, if you're a freak, I'm an even bigger freak. It'd be cool to dissect a human cadaver in Bio. Honestly, it wouldn't freak me out. It's like 'OHHHH so THAT'S what's goin on in there!!'.

I dissected a frog in 7th grade. I was really squeamish and almost puked. I made it thru though.
