BTW. Princess is a Schnauzer. She will be 8 Nov 2. We've had her since she was 4 months old and love her. I have posted new pics of her on my tr. Should either be the last page or the next to last page.

Hi Katie,
I'm just catching up on your PTR. I have not been on Dis much lately. So happy :yay: that you were able to get WL with the discount. I would love to find out how to get one of these pin codes as we are planning a trip for May or June. Anyway we are staying at WL during our Anniversary weekend in December. I will take lots of pics for you, it's beautiful at Christmas. Anyway your dog Bella is precious and I enjoyed reading your out with the old in with the new update.

Hello friends :goodvibes It has been so long!! Just popping in to ask where you prefer to watch the afternoon parade around the castle? We will be in Fantasyland or Toon Town, so I was curious as to where the best view was for us to shoot for. I hope to update with lots of new info very soon...our trip is rapidly approaching! Thanks guys :wizard:

Thank you!!! We are so excited! I just realized that when I rearranged my photopass pictures...I erased my trip report pics!! Sorry about that...I will fix it soon :rotfl: Thanks for joining!

We missed the parades the in May! Joe can not handle (packed) style crowds since the war. But, we have always enjoyed catching the parade in the beginning of the park by the railroad station where it goes round that little isle where Walt's statue is located at the tip of main street. We always liked it there so if we wanted to go back to the resort for a little bit we were close by.

Need to remember where you decide to catch it and report it so I'll have a new spot to try...:mickeyjum

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. Happy late Birthday Aiden. The big 2.

Ginny

It was great!! Thank you so much for the kind words. He is such a big boy now!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Katie!!!
Thanks so much for writing me, Becky!! That was so nice of you. Sorry not to write you back, I do not have email alert, so I have to manually check it myself. I hope that you and your family are having fun catching up. I know we are at my parents house. I was thinking of you and Ally during the Macy's parade. The Rockettes were so pretty and of course, Mickey was adorable!! Makes me excited about Disney Cruises!! Of course..one more thing to plan for

I will be sure to post it Connie!! I am so sorry to hear about Joe. It is so sad that wonderul people like him have to go through that. Just know that we are so appreciative of his sacrifice to give us freedom!!

That's ok!! We are at my parent's house, too! We'll be leaving tomorrow. We watched the parade as well and Claire got soooo excited when she saw the Mickey balloon!! And she kept spotting the Mickey sitting in the boat--it was a blow-up decoration at the front of Macy's. Oh--and we saw the Macy's Mickey plush today at the mall--soooo cute!! The girls also got really excited about the Buzz balloon!!

Hello Everyone!! How have you been?? Of course...we are totally busy with my semester winding down. Only one more week of school then I can concentrate on the finishing touches of our trip! But, I do have time to ignore assignments that are due and post a quick update. :rotfl:

Last weekend, we took the kids to New Orleans to attend the Dreams Come True exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art. It was a gift that Disney gave the city for being the inspiration for the new Princess and the Frog movie! We have some big plans in the city for the opening of the movie on December 11th so...stay tuned :lovestruc

I arrived with new batteries in my camera ready to snap away!!! But...NO PICTURES ALLOWED. What?! :confused3 UGH I was really looking forward to showing you. I did take two from the outside display...

I will try my best to describe the exhibit to you. When you enter, they give you a "cell phone" that has numbers 1-20 on the front for the tour. When you get to a certain spot, you just punch the number and the phone tells you information and background for that particular piece of art. Abby loved this!! She is 6, so it was her mission to complete them all!

The entire exhibit was centered around original artwork from all of the Disney cartoons of the past. Beginning with "The Three Little Pigs" and "Mickey and the Beanstalk" (dont know if those are the appropriate titles). Going onto Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid and finally...Princess and the Frog!! The artwork was SOOOO neat! Many of the "idea" sketches for the characters were so funny! The Beast especially was drawn very whimsical at first. Also, Snow White and Ariel were blondes at one point in the brainstorming of the stories!! :rotfl2:

My 2 year old son was getting fussy, so we did not have time to really view each story in detail. My DH and I are going back for our anniversary in Februaury kid free to see the rest.

The absolute best part was the Princess and the Frog room!!! This movie will NOT dissapoint...I promise! We got an incredible viewing of a snip of the movie on a flat screen tv. Then, we were able to push buttons on a wall and listen to pieces of the movie's sountrack. The music is AMAZING!! So jazzy and fun.

I hope that you are able to make it to this exhibit one day. It is open until March 2010. New Orleans is the only city it will be in!! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and left my DH and I in goosebumps to be so close to pieces of Disney history!!

Up Next: Disney Dream 2011!!

Oh you should go!! You can get through the entire thing in an hour or so. We were going to go to Disney Live that day, but we are leaving about 2 weeks later for WDW, so we decided to save the money. Can't wait to see your pics!!! More on the cruise in my next post:woohoo:

YES!! It was really amazing. I totally forgot to write about my absolute favorite part...CINDERELLA!! The sketches were truly beautiful and it was so neat to see up close. There were even coffee stains on them from the artists who were working on them so long ago!!!

Our plans are so much fun! They are a suprise, so stay tuned! Just a hint, we will be in New Orleans doing some Tiana type activities :thumbsup2

I will write about our cruise in my next post....excited to try out the new ship and the Poly :dance3:

I had a feeling they would say no pictures. :( Hopefully I'm going to be able to get out to NOMA when I'm home for Christmas.

Are you from the area? You really should make time, it is so interesting!! And yes...I kind of thought they would say no pics too, but I was hopeful!! My DH tried to get some sneak pics with his phone, but there is someone watching in every room :scared1:

Hello Again!!

Just a quick "announcement". As you know, we were planning to go to Disney in December 2010 for my graduation. Well, now it looks like I am graduating in Spring 2011 :sad2: My school does not offer a class I need next semester, so I need to wait until they offer it again. Although I am a little upset about the fact that I am in for an extra semester, it does have it's upside.

1) I get to downscale my classes pretty drastically now that I have more semesters to space them out over.

2) I get to spend more time at home with my little man before he grows up and goes to school. He is in a Mother's Day Out (daycare at church) 2 days a week right now until noon. He loves it! We plan on putting him in my daughter's old preschool next year. The school is wonderful...I had to put him on the waiting list WHILE HE WAS IN MY BELLY and we didn't even have a name for him yet :rotfl2: They suggest it so that you can guarantee he is in. So, we are very excited for him to do that. And I get to be a SAHM with him for the days he is not there :woohoo:

Anyways....another good thing is that

WE ARE STILL GOING TO WDW IN DECEMBER!! :cheer2:

disneychristm.jpg

So, that is where you come in. We are contemplating the day before Thanksgiving to the first week of December. I know there are large crowds during Thanksgiving, but it would be very helpful with both my daughter and I being off school AND it would be my little man's 3rd birthday while we were there! Another option would be to check in the Saturday after Thanksgiving and go through the end of the first week of December.

I would like to know if any of you have any suggestions to any good Thanksgiving/Early December Trip Report that I can check out. I want to research it tonight...I am getting really excited! :santa:

Oh...and if that weren't enough...

We are cruising the Dream in May 2011 in honor of my graduation (for REAL this time!!) pirate:

I will post on that tonight if I have time. Thanks for your help :lovestruc
