fun stuff!! can't wait to SEE the outfits...I don't think you will be disappointed with your choice of resorts...I think it is fun to stay at a different one each time it is all part of the Disney experience!!!

I have to go out and buy the new book; we were in the Disney outlet store yesterday and I was looking to see if they had the new one yet but they still have the 2009 version; and since we are not going back until Nov '10 I think I would really like the 2010 version!!

Hey my friend!! Love your update! Your dog is sooo cute--love the new collar! I was able to talk to my friend Amy on Thursday night about POR. She said if you were going to stay there to be sure and request a building close to the main building. They were way in the back of the resort and said the walk to the main building took them almost 13 minutes--difficult for when they wanted snacks, to refill their mugs, etc. And like I said before, they were there over Spring Break--it was SUPER crowded when they were there. I hope that helps you some. I can't WAIT to see what you have in store for their outfits/customs!! Check out my FB page and looks at the 2 recent pics I was tagged in (I made the bows)--but my friend embroidered all of these ADORABLE shirts, etc. for their trip!! Sooo cute!!

Love the new. Bella is so cute. Her collar is super cute. Princess would love it. She has a cute southwestern purple on right now. You can get a lot of money invested in those things.

I bet you will like the resort change. Riverside was where we were going to stay till we found out CSR had put in queen beds.

Yes, you did need a new book for sure. I still read mine a lot and don't have a trip planned.

Haha! What kind of dog is princess?? The new book is quite nice. And lots of things are different. I was afraid it would be the same book. It has def. improved! Pics of clothes tonight!

You do not know how tempting it is to take my dogs to Petsmart for Pumpkin Spice baths and new collars -- that is so up my alley!

We stayed at POR on our Christmas trip in 2004 and loved it. I think you will be very happy there, and you can't beat saving money!

I am trying so hard not to buy the new 2010 Unofficial Guide, but yours is so new and pretty...

HAHA the Pumpkin Spice was too hard to resist!! It smelled wonderful! Best dog shampoo I have seen---you should try it!

Also, I will try to post pics ASAP of the clothes. Some are just bring, like fleece pants, jackets, etc. Customs should be in a couple of weeks!!!

Hi gang! First things first---my friend Connie (longing2batdisney) just told me about a Visa promotion I was hoping for. 40% off rooms during our stay!! SO, this post will be a little short....off to crunch numbers!!

It was announced yesterday that Liberty Tree will be adding the CHARACTER BREAKFAST back only during the month that we are in Disney

It is to replace the Crystal Palace, which will be closed for rehab. I am really looking forward to this! I know a lot of people hold the character experience at Liberty near and dear to their hearts. So glad I can experience it!!! I have always wanted to try LT! We will be paying out of pocket, but it is totally worth it!

Of course, my TA called to book it, and the DIS strikes again! hehe. Apparently, DIS gets it's info too early. The CM had NO idea what she was talking about. Much like the 4/3 deal last month. SO, she called again yesterday and it was finally in the computer. Come on Disney, keep up

We will be eating there early (around 8am---don't have a time yet). We will then explore a nearly empty MK!! How fun will that be? I am so thankful to my TA. I was in class all day yesterday, so there is no way I could have taken care of that.

The characters so far are Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale! (all of our faves!) I am so happy because we are not doing any other meet and greets, so it will be a great autograph opportunity for the kids. I am most excited about Minnie! Hope they wear their old outfits from LT....Look how cute she is in her dress!!!

I hope to update more tonight on shopping!! Off to the Disney outlet to do MORE shopping right now!

Out with the old, in with the...ehhh, you get it already, right?!

MORE CHANGES, but for the BETTER!

Last week, I found out that Disney Visa was offering 40% off of resorts for the time we would be in WDW! I was excited...but we really try to avoid opening new cards if possible. I was not sure that we should do it, considering we had such a great 4/3 deal at POR/Riverside. But, my hopes of staying at WL made me research this deal.


Around the same time, I found out about some PIN numbers that were circulating. Some offering 30-40% off, some with $500 gift cards too! I was sulking, pouting, pretty much upset that Disney did not pick me for these precious PIN codes

I decided to do some research on how to get a PIN. I googled it, looked on allears, mousesavers, etc. etc. You name it, I used it.

It was getting late and I needed to get a mound of laundry taken care of before the weekend I logged into my email to shoot my mother a quick note and there it was...in ALL its beautiful glory....an email from Disney Destinations!

I opened it and the offer was..............



40% off Deluxe, 35% off Moderate, 30% off Value

And on the bottom of the email...my very own PIN number!

So, I emailed my Travel Agent immediately to get her to run numbers for the WL. The catch? We would have to stay less time. We would basically be going from 7 nights to 4. Also, we would have to push our dates to a week later than what we had booked.

To my surprise, the TA came back with a cheaper deal than I thought. I was so confused!! Come to find out, our rooms at POR were more expensive on the weekend due to the marathon. There was a Standard Room at WL available! She asked me if I wanted her to book it....and I told her to give me time to talk to my DH and I would email her in the morning.

After my DH and I talked, we had come to the conclusion that the WL deal was worth it. We added an extra night (making it 5 nights) and an extra day of tickets (making it 6 days in the parks). All of this for UNDER what our previous deal at POR would have been. I was pretty excited and ready to get this vacation booked for good!

SO---emailed my TA this morning. "We'll take it!" I wrote happily, explaining the details to her about the days/tickets/dining, etc. She wrote back a couple of minutes later.

"The room is no longer available" she says.

WHAT?!

"In fact, NO room at WL is available AT ALL using the PIN number for the entire length of the stay"

Turns out that Disney only holds a select number of rooms reserved for PINs, and they were all reserved at this point!!

OK....back to sulking, pouting, etc.

She had suggested that we switch to AKL just in case she couldn't get me WL. I started to get excited about this, it is a beautiful resort! However, with the kids, the boat and monorail access from MK would be SO helpful. So, WL is where my heart was set.

THEN I GOT IT....the email that changed it all!

"We got the Wilderness Lodge!!!" she writes. ONE room became available and she scooped it up for us. She decided to ask one more time when calling to check the Animal Kingdom for us. We are all set and are SOOOO excited to try the georgeous WL
