"So this is what makes life divine!"PTR Jan 2010* NEW 1/17 TR Link UP!!!

Here are my girls, ages 5 and 4 at the time, in the morning in the stroller. We loved the double canopies - they were able to have it up or down individually.

PA090009.jpg

Here are the girls later that night. The stroller was very easy to push!

PA090084.jpg

Here they are at the end of the day - this is my 7 year old son on the right covered with the poncho, and my 5 year old on the left. The 4 year old was going strong and walking with her Pop Pop that night (she was the only one out of the 3 to take a nap that day! LOL!)

Hope that helps!

Oh, I meant to mention that YES I would definitely get a FP for Test Track. Are you not riding Soarin? (You mentioned you could get the FP while your hubby took Abby).

Here's a couple of really cute pictures of Rae.

I hope you didn't mind me boring you with my Princess.

We have never stayed anywhere on the Monorail. We love the BeachClub. That's our favorite, everyone loves the pool. It's all about the water. Charlie and I have stayed at the BoardWalk but for us it's really all about the BeachClub. Location, Location. When we were planning this trip, we had orginally started looking at Port Orlean's but I then decided that we would try something different since it was just the 2 of us and we have always love Wilderness Lodge it's so cozy, the fireplace in the winter will be fun. We leave on Jan. 1st and we arrive at WL the 4th and staying until the 9th. I'm driving there but flying home with Charlie. My pretrip report explains the crazy :scared1: situation.

Sara

I agree!! I am going to ride Soarin. I think the plan was for them to go ahead and either get in the line or ride together then when I got there with the baby, we could trade of and I could ride with Abby again. That way, we will be first in line for Soarin and Aiden and I will have something to do while they ride AND we will have a fastpass for TT!!

Also, THANKS for going out of your way to post me the pics of your stroller  That was sooo nice of you. They look really nice...I am going to look into it! It would def. save us lots of money

Also--your kids are adorable. Love the pic with the ponchos. Nothing more uncomfortable than sleeping in a poncho in a stroller at WDW! Kids seem to do just fine with it, though :rotfl: Where did you get your little girl's outfits made? I want a red and white polka outfit for Abby with either pants or carpis this year since we are going in Jan and it will be either cold or warm.

Here's a couple of really cute pictures of Rae.

Wow!! Rae is a talented and busy girl!! You must be so proud of her! We were thinking of Port Orleans too. Read the first page of my PTR and it explains it all. Basically, we may still stay there if the deal is not good enough. Either way, I know we will have a blast!! Hope you guys are all feeling ok today! I am off to read your PTR> I started the other day but got sidetracked. DONE with homework! woohoo

Ewwww!! The food at San Angel looks awful!!! Living in Texas, I am sure that you guys eat AMAZING Mexican food all the time. We are spoiled as well...we have about 3 solid mexican places. I talked my DH out of San Angel lastnight...so these pics couldnt come at a better time!! :rotfl: He just wanted to try it again b/c he ate there with his high school class, and all they got was soup b/c it was so expensive (hehe)!

Liberty Square looks amazing! Do they have the characters at every lunch, or just dinner?

Some more good news is that my DH suggested that we just go ahead and book 2 table services  Possibly 3~!!

We are def. going to do Ohana Breafast on the last day, I think I am convinced (especially with your pics!) on Liberty for lunch..hear great things about the dessert also!!

We talked about possibly doing one in Epcot, it is just that the Counter Services are so amazing there, I dont see the need to spend the dough.

What other restaurants would you suggest at other Resorts? Maybe that could be an option. We were thinking Beach Club or something unique that we havent even gotten a chance to see yet.

Thanks sooo much for the pics :dance3:

Katie, unless something has changed, they HAD discontinued characters at LTT. HOWEVER, I just saw that the Crystal Palace will be closed for refurb from Jan 3 - Feb 13 and that in it's place, they will be opening up LTT for breakfast (and with characters). I'm not 100% sure if the characters would be there all day, but I will check again and let you know. :goodvibes

I'm so sad. I just love the character's at LTT.
I called 407-WDWDINE just a minute ago to confirm about CP, and they would NOT confirm for me. He said that they only had dates out through December 2009. New dates for January come out the first of October. He did tell me that yes there were NO character's at LTT. Sorry.

Did you look into Chef Mickey's. It's Fabulous especially for young kids. I'm searching for pictures to show you. We had breakfast there, but I also hear lunch and dinner are great. Now expect to pay a little more for a picture that they take of your family before your seated, somewhere around $35.00 you don't have to buy them. This one you have to make a reservation for 90 days out. It goes fast.

In my opinion, Epcot doesn't have very many fun (kid friendly) table service places to eat. On our first trip we had Coral Reef, nice fancy food, the "coral reef" was okay to look at, but nothing was going on when we were there. :confused3 We have had LeCelliur, LOVED IT. But not very kid friendly. Rae and I did Akershus Princesses Breakfast and had a blast seeing all the princessess. But the food was okay. Buffet breakfast. We liked Yorkshire County Fish Shop, (walk up) Fish & Chips... Sorry Im just not very helpful on good places to eat in Epcot.

I'm looking for more food porn. Chef Mickey's,
Carolyn

Here's a thread talking about the CP refurb and the possible move of characters back to LTT while they do the CP refurb.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2264350

Brad at www.stitchkingdom.com (a great site, by the way) has also confirmed the CP rehab - but hasn't said anything about the LTT characters returning during that time.

Epcot places that we love with our kids are Coral Reef (they absolutely LOVE the atmosphere), and Garden Grill (family style - which we much prefer to buffet when we have the kids with us - much less hectic). It has characters but only at dinner, not at lunch. Some of our best character interaction has been with the GG characters (Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale).

Sara

(I'm gonna send you a PM with the name of the ebayer who sold me most of the girls customs for our October trip! I was very pleased!)

Awww No CP this time :sad2: Thats ok though! We can just try it on our December trip next year.

AND, hopefully what you think is true about the LTT open for breakfast with characters!! To be honest, I personally was really looking forward to eating at LTT, but we are not big lunch eaters and probably just want to actually schedule just one dinner, if any on this trip due to random nap times. So breakfast would be an amazing way to get into the parks early, see characters and get to eat at LTT!!! I am excited about the possibility:banana:

Thank you for all of your wonderful tips...you are such a big help!!

Chef Mickeys would be a great option too for breakfast. I hear it is wonderful for kids!!
Coral Reef is probably too much like places we go to when we go on vacation in florida, etc. THe kids have seen one too many fish tank restaurants!

LeCelliur is an absolute must on any solo adult trip we go on!! I think the kids are still too young, you are right. Definately looking forward to trying the fish and chips at Yorkshire, LOVE IT!

We did do the princess breakfast at Ark. last time we went to WDW> It was AMAZING...totally loved it! Thanks so much for all of the info~!!!

We did Chef Mickey's for dinner because we couldn't get it for breakfast. Dinner food not great but the characters are fantastic. I have those with the kids posted on my thread. We had a wonderful time there and Ohana. We like the family style better than buffet only because you are not up and down and you can really enjoy the charcters. Don't want to miss any of them for sure.

Hi Katie!! Sorry I've been MIA here on the DIS and that you had to hunt me down on FB to get my input!! ;) You know how busy I've been and I've hated not having my Disney fix each day!! I answered all of your questions on FB the best I could. I'm sooo glad that you decided to go with Angela--she really is the BEST TA!!! Do you know if she's home from her cruise yet? I sure hope another deal comes out--we would love one for our trip in May!! Can't wait to see what you get in terms of customs!! You know I LOVE my customs, too!! :)

My TA just wrote me an email! She is in WDW right now and said there are rumors that the January 2010 deals are to be released tomorrow (Monday)!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Everyone please send lots of pixie dust this way that there is a great deal! At this point, I really don't want it to be free dining, I would rather a percent off the room. Maybe Disney Visa will release a Resort deal or gift certificate. I will let you guys know right when I find out!

I agree. I hear better things about Chef Mickey's breakfast, but everyone also says the characters are great there! Thanks for the advice.
Also, Ohana is the best, isn't it? I am so on the same page about family style. Especially with kids, how convenient is that?! We are pretty much decided on Ohana for breakfast for the coffee, food, characters and being able to check out Poly and see what building to stay in, get info, etc for our Dec 2010 trip

Carolyn,

Thank you SO much for Chef Mickey's pics!! We decided on Ohana breakfast (see above answer to aaaateamgrandma) BUT---here is some secret info---don't tell anyone (ha!)---my DH suggested lastnight that we maybe stay an extra day :yay: Nothing set in stone, but we decided if we do, we are totally going to Mickey Breakfast!

Your pics are amazing. I hear so many good thinks about Chef's. Also, dont tease me with those Ohana pics!! Isn't it just the most memorable dinner ever:cloud9:

haha Thats ok  I just rely on all of your great tips for the kids! Angela emailed me today. She is in WDW now (lucky) but is hearing rumors that the January specials will be released tomorrow!! :woohoo:

No problem! Do you know what day Angela gets back? I'm hoping the deals at least go through May!! But I guess we'll find out soon!!

Oh, I will keep my fingers crossed for the new deals being released tomorrow! I am curious as well!

I know!! I can not wait to find out. I actually called Disney direct this morning and asked them when they were to release the info. I got a lady who did not speak very good English and she flat out said "No. (really long pause) We don't know." :rotfl: Guess I am not the first to call!

Well, remember that it is just a rumor. BUT my TA is pretty much never wrong. If I can remember correctly, she was taking a behind the scenes tour of the calling center (only the TAs can go) so I am sure she heard it from good sources!

No problem! Do you know what day Angela gets back? I'm hoping the deals at least go through May!! But I guess we'll find out soon!!

She gets back home tomorrow. The deals for the fall were really long, weren't they? Like June or July through December, so it is a great chance that May would be included  I really want you to go on a cruise b/c we are thinking of one for Dec 2010, so I know you will be honest with me and your kids have the same interests as mine. You would be a very reliable source.

Also (some inside info). My DH suggested that we stay an extra day on our trip:cool1: Nothing set in stone, waiting to see these deals!! It is like Christmas Eve for me. See my above comment to CharlestonPrincess about Angela taking a behind the scenes tour. Talk to you tomorrow!
