Just found and got caught up on your PTR and wanted to say hi! That Princess and the Frog exhibit looked really cool--wish you could have taken pictures!
Thanks for joining!! I have not had a lot of time to devote to my PTR because I have been busy with school. I will be finished on Thursday....so it will be 100% Disney devoted...with some occasional Christmas shopping

I love the pic of you and your daughter. She is a doll!
I graduated the first time in 2005 (went right back for my MBA and graduated the second time in 2007). Played trombone in Tiger Band for all four undergrad years. Yeah, the football team needs some work. The Saints, however, are amazing this year! I'm fairly confident we're going to be in the Super Bowl too.
Some will tell you that my TR is long, but it's full of pictures. I do tend to ramble a little though.
Thats ok...I ramble too. Must be a Louisiana thing. WHO DAT!?
Hi Katie!
I'm sorry your school is taking longer than you were planning on... That stinks. It's always so frustrating when they only offer certain classes every-other semester! Or they only have one time it's offered, and you just have to work everything else around it. But that is so wonderful that you'll have time at home with your little man!! I have a feeling that one day a week will become your favorite day of the week!

(besides the weekend!) I can't believe you had to put him on the waiting list when he was in your belly! But it must be a fantastic pre-school! It sounds like things are just going to work out really well!
And that is SOOOO exciting that you still get to go to Disney World next year! I've never been at Christmastime (but I REALLY want to some day) but my cousin and her family went three years in a row the first week of December. They LOVED it. The crowds were way down, and the decorations were all up, and it was just perfect for them. They actually took their kids out of school and her husband (he was a teacher) took off as well. So I don't know if that helps--it's not first-hand experience, but hopefully it does at least a little!
And congratulations on being completely paid off for your trip!!! SOOOO exciting! You'll be there before you know it!

I hope your family is having a wonderful Christmas season so far!
Thanks Staci!!! I read your new update, but have not had time to comment on it. You two are as adorable as ever!! Hopefully, I will have some time tonight.
It DOES help to hear about the first week of December! All of my professors are super flexible so far. Hopefully, I will get some good ones that Fall and will be able to sneak over there around that time
Being paid off is SO exciting...and it makes me nervous!! I need to get everything together after my last final on Thursday. I am anxiously awaiting that. I have everything bought, just need to organize and pack!! Thanks for reading
Hey Katie!!! So sorry I've been MIA, but just like everyone, I've been so busy.
Sorry to hear about your school but it will turn out to be fabulous, Cruising on the "Dream" will be wonderful....
Our cruise was great, except for the line, I didn't care much for it. Althought I loved the islands, Cozumel and Grand Cayman were the best, I didn't care much for Jamaica, like I did the other but, the crystal white beaches and turqouise blue water in Cayman was so fabulous.
I would love to just vacation there.
I'm so excited to read that your back at Wilderness Lodge. That is so cool.
I went ahead and booked me another day. Since Eric and I start driving towards Orlando on January 1, and it will take us a few days, a stop in Alexandria, La and then a night in Tallahassee hopefully will put us in Orlando by noon or 1 on Sunday the 3rd. He starts school on Monday, the 4th. I had originally thought I would find a place near him that Sunday night and he just take me over to WL or I catch a taxi on Monday. But while we were there in November, I decided to go ahead a book me a room for that Sunday night at WL instead of him or me trying to figure out how to get me there on Monday. Charlie arrives around noon on Monday and we would have to wait around until our room would be ready so, I thought why not.
So, I'll arrive there on Sunday, after taking Eric shopping for food and stuff. I'm not sure what I'll do the rest of that day, maybe ride the boat to MK. I don't know yet.
Now you arrive on the 6th, Wednesday? I think its going to be beautiful. I wonder if it's going to be decorated??? I've been looking at the Thread on WL at the pictures of it decorated for Christmas it looks so fabulous.
You asked about going to DW during Thanksgiving, I had a girlfriend and her family go at that time, and they loved it. They had Thanksgiving dinner in the park and the Sunday after Thanksgiving the crowds were gone. So maybe that would be fun for you.
Just wanted to check in and say Hi!!! Looking forward to our trips..

Carolyn
Carolyn,
Thank you so much for checking in. An extra day in the WL

That is amazing! We actually pushed our ressie back a week in order to give us some more time to get ready after my sister in law gets married Jan 2nd. We are super excited!!! I think the decorations come down by the 3rd...but I am not sure. I hear it is sooo beautiful during Christmas!! I know you are getting excited about your trip! Cant wait to read about it!
Hi Katie! Like many others, sorry I have been MIA - crazy busy around here with Thanksgiving traveling, wisdom tooth surgery, girls Christmas dance recital, church pageant, christmas show at school.....the list goes on and on! Tis the season, right?
Anyways, the exhibit looked like a lot of fun and that's fabulous news about the cruise! I'm glad you didn't cancel December 2010 though - that's gonna be great too!
You asked for TRs on Thanksgiving or around that timeframe - there's one in my signature if you haven't read it. It was Thanksgiving week, so it was busy for the latter part of our trip (plus it was with 16 people, so it was a trip of a different color, so to speak.....hence the herding cats title) but it might shed some light on some things you are thinking about for that timeframe. It's been a while since I read it, so I don't know if it will have helpful info in it or not, but thought I would give it a little plug....

LOL!
Can't wait to read more about this trip that's coming in only a few more weeks!

Sara
I know Sara!!! It is coming sooo fast. Thank you so much for the tip on your TR! I love how you gave yourself a plug. hehe so funny. I would LOVE to read it. Hopefully I can get caught up after finals are over Thursday
Hi Katie,
Just wanted to stop in and say hello. So happy you are still going in December! I'm sure either week will be fine as long as you know it will be more busy Thanksgiving week. First week of December apparently is not as quiet as it used to be

it was pretty busy. I thought May and October were much less crowded. Also congrats on the cruise!! The new ship looks fabulous

. We are going to be cruising on the dream in November 2011 with friends of ours. My friend will be celebrating her Birthday which is nice but I'm trying to get her to switch to spring or summer since my kids school is not as flexible as hers

. Looking forward to reading a new trip report soon.
Nichole
OH no Nichole!!! I think the rates are so amazing this year, people could not resist

I love your pictures!! Are you going to write a TR? That is awesome that you are cruising with friends!!! We may have some friends come along on ours. It makes it so much more fun when the kids have someone to play with their own age

Thanks for keeping up with my PTR!! I will have much more time to update when school is over.
Hi Katie. I have sure been a slow reader these past couple of weeks. Work! I just hate it when I have to actually do it. I like it much better when I have play time. Too bad about the school thing but at least you did see the good in it and managed to get a couple of Disney trips along with it. Good for you.
I know you are very busy getting ready for Christmas with 2 little ones. I miss those days. Now Don and I just get one big gift per grandchild and cash. The girls and sons in law get cash and I did buy the girls those Keurig coffee makers this year. Don and I generally don't exchange gifts, well we say we don't but we manage a little something. Our anniversary is the 23 so we do a gift to each other then. 42 years this year.\
Have a great day and don't work too hard.
Ginny
Ginny, THank you so much for popping in and saying hi!!! I can not believe you have been married for 42 years!!! You are so inspiring to me!!
I know that it must be hard to buy for adults now. hehe We are harder than the kiddos! My mother is having a blast buying for the grandkids. I know I will miss it when it is gone.
