So glad you were happy with the deluxe room - DH and I were just discussing last night actually what we could've done with that extra $ and sincerely hoping that we didn't make a bad decision by upgrading this trip. Transportation and sleeping arrangements were some major headaches for us last time - my poor DD - no one can sleep with that child in a full-size bed! I actually woke up several times last year SCREAMING at her for smacking me and hitting me in her sleep!

How adorable are your boys?! And I just love their names! My little one's middle name is Gabriel. I was happy to get it in, because I just could not convince DH on it...I really wanted it for a first name for DS, but we compromised. I'm glad Rhett was feeling better quick, I hope you were able to bounce back quickly as well!

How completely awful to start your trip that way!!! That is definitely my worst nightmare...someone gets sick on Disney Eve. Poor you!!! And how awful you weren't fully able to enjoy all of the excitement of checking into the Poly for the 1st time.


I hope that little nap does the trick and you are able to get on with the vacation. Hoping it was a great one!

bed!! yes! I was so happy that my room was ready! I was waiting for the dreaded, "I'm sorry, your room is not ready yet but we can text you when it is." Hubby definitely got a gold star for the day for taking the boys to the Magic Kingdom!

I knew I couldn't postpone. I knew I just had to get down there.. once I was down there I would be okay. As long as I wasn't getting sick anymore it was manageable, it wasn't fun.. but I could do it! And yes, hubby definitely got brownie points for that!!

You know. I went back and forth on the same thing as you and DH.. is it worth the extra $$, we could do so much more with the $$, etc. But you will come to find out that it will be the only way my hubby will stay now! which is fine by me!!

and YES, Rhett is a BEAR in bed. I had to sleep with him when we stayed at All Stars Sports this summer (hubby wasn't with us) and we shared a bed for ONE night.. the next 3 nights I paid extra for a roll away bed! he is my kicker, hitter, lays across the bed. Its awful! The Poly was nice because they have a day bed as well.

No, I'm not going this year. Maybe in a few years I will think about doing it again. MMMM...Food and Wine. I am definately doing that to the max in October.

Hello and thank you for joining! We had beautiful weather!! it really is a wonderful time to go. It was a bit chilly in the beginning, but I think it was unusually chilly. Gabriel is actually named after my FIL, I originally wanted Jackson, but Gabriel grew on me as long as no one called him Gabe (which is what we call my FIL) and of course you get the occasion person who will automatically call him Gabe after I tell them his name is Gabriel
Its amazing how quick Rhett bounced back! Kids, wish it was that easy!!


I hope to have an update posted this afternoon, I have to take my son to soccer camp this morning and run a few errands but I hope to be able to get it up soon!

I last left off fast asleep. Enjoying the peace and quite of the comfy, cozy, dark room. No kids. No hubby. No noise. I was in such a deep sleep when KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. Are you kidding me!

Now, any other time I would be happy as a clam that Magical Express was so early! But today, not so much! I groggily dragged my butt out of bed and answered the door. I felt bad for the guy, he was all bubbly and spewing with Disney Magic and I was like, whatever dude, put em over there and here’s your tip! Well, I don’t think I was that bad, but I know I wasn’t all smiles and cheer!

Seriously! I looked at the clock and I had only been sleeping for about 2 hours. But I was up and I did feel better. I text’d DH and asked if they were going to be there for a while and if so that I would come over. He told me that they had lunch and were just walking around. They just went on Thunder Mountain and were about to get a drink and head over to Pirates of the Caribbean because they remembered that we promised them that the next time we came to Disney we would buy them those wooden guns from the gift shop. They remember EVERTYHING!

I told him that I was going to get freshened up and head on over and meet them. I really wanted to see my boys in the Magic Kingdom.

So I freshened up a bit. And this is where I apologize and I will know for next time. I hardly took any pictures of the room! But here is the sink in the bathroom!



After I washed my face and tried to look presentable, I made my way over to the boat dock to take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom. This is where I was in heaven! I stepped outside and the weather was perfect! It was a little chilly, mid 60’s, but it felt good and it immediately put me in the Disney Spirit!

This was the view from our patio. The Volcano pool is through the trees on the right and Captain Cook’s is right over the bridge on the left. It was the PERFECT location.

Once I boarded the boat, I sat back and enjoyed the 5-minute boat ride across the Seven Seas Lagoon over to the Magic Kingdom. I was fully taken in the beauty of everything around me and was so giddy to be getting closer to the Magic Kingdom.

Getting Closer!



Hello Magic Kingdom!





Once I was inside I called Mark and he told me that they were still near Adventure land. So I started walking down main street and took in all the beautiful Christmas decorations



That is what I love about November, it’s warm (well, usually it is – as you can see we are wearing hoodies today) there are low crowds and they have the holiday decorations up already.

I met up with my happy boys with their new gun! Oh Joy.



Serioulsy, look at that picture. What do you notice? LOW CROWDS! This picture was taken at 4pm.

After I met up with the boys we decided to head on back to the room. It was a little after 4:00 and we had 6:00 ADR’s for Boma!

Of course we had to take a few pictures on main street!





I have to say I don’t look TOO bad considering!





I was actually getting hungry. The only thing I ate all day was a plain bagel on the plane and I was starting to feel much better. That is the “good” thing, if there is such a thing, about the stomach bug. It usually only lasts for 24 hours. So off we went, back to the Poly to get ready for dinner.

THEY NEVER FORGET! We told them in June maybe we would get them.. and of course, they remembered!!!

The Poly is nice, but I completely understand with needing 2 rooms! if we didn't get a 40% off pin, I really don't think we would have stayed there.

I am so glad I was able to get over there, even if for a few minutes. There is just something about that place that puts a smile on my face!!! THEY loved the guns and they still play with them!!

I was hoping to finish an update tonight but it was such a beautiful day that after soccer camp we decided to go to the pool.. and now I have about 20 client files to go through to see who will benefit from this rumor of free dining coming out tomorrow so I will have to get to my next post either tomorrow night or Thursday.

Wow, the Poly looks beautiful!! DH & I are thinking about taking a weekend trip just the two of us, and DH has his heart set on the Poly, but only if there is an AP discount offered on the room. So we are keeping our fingers crossed, but looking at your pics, I wouldn't mind staying there at all!!

Also, I love that the decorations were out in MK already even though MVMCP had not started yet!! I hope the same is true this year, because one of my favorite things was the wreaths across Main Street. I also love that last pic of the boys covering their eyes. Too cute!!
