So They Want Us To Celebrate? WELL, OK!!! (We're Back)

Congratulations on the weight loss! That's fantastic!! :goodvibes Your plans look fantastic. I'm so looking forward to another TR!

your changes look great. more time there is always good.

congrats on the Ipods. I have 3 and they are great.

I agree that more time is always good. :thumbsup2

3 iPods?!? Wow! You have a lot of music. :goodvibes

I loved your last TR and just found this one so I'm in! :)

Congrats on the weight loss...that's amazing!

And I love how you keep on changing your itinerary...sounds like us. I don't make my ADRs until the 28th but I've been changing them every single day!

Thanks and welcome back! I'm glad that you found me again.

It's hard to make ADRs so far out from the trip. We just made more changes today. I figure that I might as well wait till days before the trip before posting the itinerary again. Seems like the safest thing to do.

Congratulations on the weight loss! That's fantastic!! :goodvibes Your plans look fantastic. I'm so looking forward to another TR!

Thank you! It's great knowing that people are reading along. Makes the trip planning so much more fun. :cool1:

You may have noticed that we live in NJ. Manhattan isn't too far away, and we decided to go into the city yesterday. Having never gone to the World of Disney Store, in New York City, we had to check it out. It was like going to the World of Disney in DT, but not as much merchandise was offered, even though it was three floors high. Keep in mind, that NYC builds upwards, rather than outward, when it can. Don't get me wrong either; it was a great store with a lot of terrific merchandise and we'll definitely go there again.

So, what did we get? I finally got my red, white and blue Mickey pin that always seems to be sold out at the parks. They had one left. My DH got a black polo that has "I (heart) NY" on it, but the heart is a red Mickey. I got a NYC Disney t-shirt with a plaid Mickey on the front, as well as the black cap version of my DH's shirt. Then, we both also got huge NYC Disney mugs. For the amount we paid for everything, we were able to get a Disney NY rolling duffle bag for $20, so of course, we got that, too. We figure that we can use it as a carry on or as an extra bag to carry in a suit case in case we need it coming back. It got us even more anxious about leaving for our trip!!! Our cashier has an interview coming up to work at WDW, and if things work out, she'll move there next month. So, we may end up seeing her there! She had a perfect Snow White face.

Also, we changed some of our ADRs today. I got a great cast member who was really on the ball. Remember that we are celebrating our birthdays and our anniversary. So, she noticed that not all of our celebrations were listed on all our ressies, and she fixed that. She also noticed that the anniversary year wasn't correct on everything, so she fixed that. Then, she noticed that on some of our ADRs, our birthday years weren't right. Now, she noticed these all practically at the same time, but it was good that she did, so all of our information is correct.

She also picked up on the fact that our address had a mistake on it, which my DH noticed this week when we got our trip packet (Yes, we got our trip packet yesterday!!! :woohoo::yay::woohoo:), so when she was done, she transferred me to get that fixed. When I was getting that fixed, the new cast member indicated that my phone number was wrong. They had my original phone number down on their system. We don't know how all of these were wrong, but at least they're fixed. :thumbsup2 The only thing we can imagine is somehow between making our initial package reservation and now, the main name on eveything went from my DH to me. Who knows why. But, no biggie.

All I know is that we are one month and nine days away!!! I can't wait. I only have seven more work days left at the school, and then, it's only a month away. Wahoo!!!!!!!!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

I still have NOT gone to the Disney store in nyc and I'm so close to the city too!

And that's crazy how so many things were wrong with your reservation. Although I will say I have NO idea how they figure out how to tie in all of the personal information from old reservations. EVERY time I call to make a new reservation (this is my 3rd reservation that I booked myself)... they ALWAYS ask me if Frank will be joining me. Frank is my father yet he's never been on any trips that I have paid for myself. They never ask if my mom is coming with me, etc. Always Frank. I just think it's so odd! Plus the 2nd reservation I had they tried to put it on my OLD house address that I lived at when I was a child! We haven't lived there in about ten years and none of the last 6 trips I've been to Disney have ever used that address! So crazy! :)

You changed some of your ADRs? - I don't believe it!! (to quote Michael from the Little Einsteins) ... :rotfl2:

Good luck "surviving" your last week of school ...

SO jealous! But excited for you! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

What a great CM to notice all that. Sounds like quite a bit needed fixing!

I mentioned in my last big post that weight changes affected my wardrobe and that we had also made some purchases for the trip. Well, I'm ready to get into the details. . .

Sometime in January, I began a new program to help myself lose weight. Eventually, I got back into exercising regularly, as well. I'm still doing the program, plus working out one to one and a half hours 5 days a week. Between the two, I've lost 30-35 pounds and gone down 3 sizes. Yeah, major loss! I've been excited.

Though I'm still losing weight, with the warmer weather, I ended up having to get all new shorts. I have stuck with capris only, during warm months, for at least two years now. So, I'm thrilled to not only be back in shorts, but to have shorts that I absolutely love. It's amazing how getting into the single digits can open up so many more clothing options. :goodvibes Now, I have a whole new summer wardrobe for summer! :)

I also had to get some new bathing suits, and they are so nice! I absolutely love them, too! I can't wait to wear them at the pool in WDW. :woohoo: In fact, the store where I bought two of my favorites, was a store I had looked at before, sometime in the past. But, they didn't have the size I used to be. Now, I don't have that problem!!! Very cool. :thumbsup2

Then, my DH and I have been wanting iPods for some time, and we used this upcoming trip as a good excuse to get them. You know. . .well, we can use them on the airplane, and with all the time we'll spend by the pool, they'd be nice, etc., etc. So, we each got our own iPod nanos. Today, my DH went and got us the speaker system you can put the iPod into, so it can play in a room and charge at the same time. We are going to bring it with us on the trip, so we can hear our tunes, while we're in the room.

Congrats on your weight loss. It's not an easy road.. but it seems like your doing a good job of it. Isn't it exciting when you can finally purchase clothes from a store that you would just walk by previous? Ohh.. Good for you!!:goodvibes

It's good to hear you got some new bathing suits (especially ones you love), shoes (that are comfy) and some summer clothes (it's always a really nice reward after such hard work). Ohhh you know how much i love to shop?!!

:woohoo: Love, love the IPOD. I use mine all the time for working out, cleaning the house or when we travel.

Pheww.. Your lucky you got a cast member who was on the ball.. 1 Month and nine days is going to go by soo fast.. i'm so excited.

You should definitely go! It felt a little like being at WDW. So cool.

That's crazy about how they kept screwing things up on your end. My DH thinks it has something to do with our reservation somehow changing from his name as the primary to mine, which we have no idea how that happened. Ah, well. Everything seems fine now. :goodvibes

Good luck "surviving" your last week of school ...

I'm doing better than surviving. I still have four work days left and I'm nearly done with closing down my classroom and all the other little end of the school year odds and ends. My students are finishing their last days in the middle school, at least in my room, watching "The Diary of Anne Frank" since we just finished our Holocaust unit, so life is good. I can't believe it's the end of the school year already, but I'm so glad to be closer to summer break and going to WDW!!! :woohoo:

SO jealous! But excited for you! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

I definitely feel fortunate to have gotten that CM. The last few have been newbies, so maybe that's why she had to fix so much. :thumbsup2

I knew you'd be excited for me!!! Thanks. I love shopping, too...I feel like you're my Canadian Disney loving and shopping twin.

I can't wait to see how much more weight I lose before the trip. I have exactly five weeks to go and in a week, I'll be off for the summer, so I'll have even more time to devote to working out. :yay: I just have to be careful that I don't lose so much that I can't fit into the new summer clothes, right? Oh, what am I saying? That would just mean more shopping!!! :rotfl2:

Yes, I definitely think the time is going to go fast. You're not much farther behind me. It's exciting to be so close, isn't it? :cool1:

Congrats again on the weight loss.. Your doing so good...If you stuck to lean meats, veggies and some fruit (basically no carbs) I bet you could lose 15-20 pounds a month. It's good to hear your devoting time to work out.. i wish i could say the same...

I love the idea of new shopping, Dbf and I are going to head down to the states 1 week prior to our trip so I can get some new outfits..it is most definitely exciting that were so close.

I know I can do that in a month, if I truly put in the effort. I work out daily for at least 5 out of the 7 days, along with healthy eating. I do allow myself indulgences from time to time, but that's been fine for me. I find that when I don't work out, I don't have anywhere near the same results as I've been getting. It also boosts my energy level, which is always a plus. I also look at this as preparing myself for the workout of all the walking at WDW in intense heat. :goodvibes

How close are you to the states? Is the shopping better here than in Canada? Wherever you get to shop, it's always fun a fun thing to do, and when you get to shop for a WDW trip it's even better!!! :cool1:

By the way, I'm still working through your PTR. I'm about halfway through. There's so much I want to make comments on, but I'm determined to read it all, first. :surfweb:

I hate working out...Good for you for sticking to it 5 days a week..It's always a bit more easier to get motivated once you see the results. Good job!! Did I mention that Dbf bought me a brand new treadmill and i've only used it hmm... about 6 times. I really should get on that.. it would probably do me some good... and your right, it would def. help with the walking at wdw with the intense heat. We've never gone in August... only in September & November. I"m really worried...

 I"m not that close at all... Dbf has to drive 8 hours to his parents house in Canada then we drive an extra 2 hours in Canada to make it to Birch Run Outlets in Michigan (I especially love the BCBG outlet) OR we can drive about 2 hours to Watertown, NY... we've never made the trip out to Watertown, NY... it will be our first time in July.. I"m not sure there's alot there.. but they do have a Victoria Secret, Charlotte Russe (only a couple super girl tops there that i've seen i like) and a Kolhs??? Oh.. and I"m also found a store in that city that carries the Vera Bradley bags. We'll see... I'd really love to hit up a Marc Jacobs outlet.

I just have to add in, I love shopping in WDW. I always just feel the need to buy way more than I actually need.. :lmao:

I love WOD in NYC. I was just there the other day.

You'll have to include your shopping experience on your TR. I do the same thing at WDW. I can't wait to go to the Emporium in the MK and The World of Disney in DTD. I also really enjoy shopping at the stores at the monorail resorts. There's not too many places where I don't enjoy shopping, at WDW. :rotfl:

I love WOD in NYC. I was just there the other day.

Isn't it great?!? We had never gone. It really does feel like a bit of WDW closer to home, but it also made me really want to be in Orlando. :cool1:

While I am still planning to hold off before I post my final itinerary, I just had to post about these two latest additions. . .

On our second night, we are now going to eat at the "Spirit of Aloha" dinner show. We absolutely love this dinner show and haven't gone since the last time we were there in the summer, so we're really looking forward to it. We made sure we got level one seating. I can't wait!!! If you haven't gone before, it's really entertaining and the food is very good. It's worth going to. Then, we hope to go to the MK for late night. We have a 5:15 ADR for the show/dinner, so we should have plenty of time at the MK. Once we get back to our room, I'll finally get to see the surprise that my DH ordered for me. It's going to be a great night!!! :woohoo:

Today, we also booked the new MK Fireworks Show!!! :yay: We just saw the news about it this weekend on wdw and I was able to get it for the night we wanted! When I first called, the CM said today was the first day they were taking ressies for the party and I was her first guest for this new booking. At first, she thought there were no openings for my date, which I thought was odd, but I chalked it up to the fact that it's new and may be getting booked quickly. At any rate, she investigated further and discovered that she was trying to book it like you would regular dining when you use your dining credits! So, it all worked out.

The great thing is that we are having dinner that evening at Crystal Palace and don't mind skipping their dessert. Then, we'll get a great view of the fireworks with hopefully some terrific desserts! Can't beat that. :thumbsup2

As of yesterday, I am down 40 lbs!!! :cool1::woohoo::yay::woohoo::banana: I'm very excited. By the time our WDW trip arrives, I hope to be a fair way through my final 28 lbs of loss. What's also cool is that I got to see family yesterday for Father's Day, and they all remarked on the major change. They noticed not only the drop in weight, but the toning, too. Made me very happy. :goodvibes

Also, tomorrow is my last day for work before summer break and I'm getting a lot of curriculum to write for my summer job (which I get to do on my laptop at home)!!! Life is good. :cool1:

congrats on hitting the 40 mark! that's amazing! :)

and very cool about the luau and dessert party... I have to look into the dessert party...seems really cool!

We just booked a private photo session at our resort for our third day! I can't wait to see the various locations they take us to, throughout the session. It will be so nice to have a set of professional photos from a trip I'm sure we'll remember for a long time. Having them at AKL will definitely make for some great backgrounds. Now. . .what to wear? what to wear? :rotfl:

Now begins the major countdown! Today, I started my summer break and we begin the official countdown to WDW. Life is good. :cool1:

:yay:29 more day!!!:yay:
