I planned on catching an Uber from Pop at 6:30 this morning, checking in early at the Hard Rock and making EE at IOA.

It's looking more like a late morning for me, brrrrrrrr!

Go check in anyway!!! You may luck out and get right in a room

I would rather be having hot butterbeer with a new scarf from wizarding world than hanging around pop.

I'm here now and it's lovely! I'm from south Louisiana and don't do cold!

I left around 10:00 and was in the park by 11:00. 11:00 AM, you know, a time of day when it's not glacial for a NOLA girl to be out and about. I'm afraid there's no attraction entrancing enough to render 38 degrees palatable.

Crowds are non-existant and I have unlimited Express. It's all good :-)

Our first purchases were wool Gryffindor and Ravenclaw hats. :)

:)

OUr first Orlando trip was December 2010. One early entrance day it was 28 degrees. My son insisted on riding Hippogriff 14 times in a row. I was nearly frozen when we got off the last time (as I finally saw the sign saying that kids 48" and up can ride ALONE). Those pretty House scavres that seemed like a ripoff at $30 the day or so before suddenly became the Must Have. 3 scarves plus tax, $100 just like that, done.

I strongly recommend not going during the winter in the future. We've been there several times now when it's that temperature or colder (see story above).

Okay, full disclosure:

I have an AP and this is my third trip on this ticket. I go to Orlando (mostly WDW) every year at this time. I am fully aware of the chance of colder weather at this time and only meant to make a funny about the cooler temps.

I only ride water rides if it's over 80 but seriously don't plan a trip around them-rode the heck out of Popeye and Dudley last September and am fine with that.
