T has inspired me to give up something less-than-healthful in MY life, too. She is giving up on Dr. Pepper (:cheer2:), so I have decided to start limiting my chocolate consumption. :rolleyes1

Now, the only chocolate I eat anyway is organic fair trade dark (DARK!) chocolate... but I have been eating a little every day (like... every single day). SO, I want to try to replace my chocolate cravings with tea, fruit, veggies and sour cream, or gum.

Would you like to jump on the bandwagon, too??

:dance3:

Yes, Join us!!!!! (She types with shaking hands).... My last Dr. Pepper was yesterday!! I know in the long run I will feel better, but right now all I can think about is a ice cold DP!!!! Chocolate on a daily basis is my next challenge:scared1:

Wait! Haven't they been telling us that a small amount of dark chocolate is good for us? You don't want to give up a health food, do you? :rotfl2:

:lmao: I KNOW!! I think the chocolate EVERY DAY obsession has been what has been kicking me in the pants!! (and prohibiting those doggone last 5 pounds from coming off!!) :headache:

I don't believe in giving up anything. Limit maybe. Life is too short!

In the past 3 weeks, I've limited myself to one glass of soda a day. And yesterday, I didn't have one at all! (Though I had one with lunch today). I don't know if I've noticed a difference just yet, but I know it is better for me.

Ok, ok, I'll give up HALF my baggie of potato chips at lunch everyday. But I can't give up all of them because I need something crunchy to go with my sandwhich. :)

I'm over 40, so my metabolism is as slow as molasses. Even so, simply by eliminating soda from my daily routine (not a lot, but 1 with lunch and dinner) and I was able to drop 40 lbs. in 90 days.

I went from 270 to 230 without exercise. Exercise took me from 230 to 218.

Drop the pop and you'll see great results.

No.

but I need to so I'm in! What will help me most is to limit the number of times I go out to a restaurant for lunch and instead, bring my lunch to work. For some reason, my favorite cuisines are heavy in happy calories that later make me sad.

How magical! Way to go! So glad you shared this. I am motivated to get back on my schedule of walking or doing time on the elliptical every day. Just a short 15 to 30 minutes 5 days a week helped me. :cheer2:

I'm in. Pop first (which I started drinking again onour ABD trip for some reason), random sweets next.

This isn't as hard as I thought it would be....in the past week, I have had 2 DP's. this is down from the 3 a day I was having. This week I am hoping to knock it down to 1 or none. I tried cold turkey and I spent 3 days deprived and upset. Now I keep 1 cold one in the fridge for emergencies.... and I really think about it before I open it. The last one I had I didn't finish... just knowing it's there if I need or want it really helps.Surprisingly, Chocolate is not as tempting if I don't have a Dr. Pepper to drink with it.

My energy level is higher too!!! I am getting more accomplished.

Come join the group!!!!
