So sad we came home yesterday. A few observations and A fight on Main Street USA!!!!

Thanks for the rundown, Joey, very interesting. And yes, people sometimes are nuts, even at WDW.

I thought I must have read the title wrong. It is really unbelievable the way some people act. :sad2:

Two years ago we were seated at Candlelight Processional waiting for the program to begin (Jim Cavesal)(?spelling) and a rowdy fight broke out 2 rows ahead of us between 2 middle aged men. Security massed them and broke it up. Merry Christmas!!

OMG, I was at that same show and remember that! What a place for a brawl, huh? Nothing says the true meaning of Christmas like a fistfight!

Country bears were not in xmas show. CM said they would be the week of xmas and that was probably it.

Who told you that?

This sounds like a rather unlikely rumor.

We were there from the 21st to the 28th. The photopass people were everywhere. We got about 100 pictures taken with them. they didn't ask this trip though the were to busy too.

I really liked the nemo ride. It was better than no ride in the seas. Turtle talk was cute, but not cute enough for a long wait. My wife and I did walk around the rest of the trip using hand on head duuuuuudes!

We found a wal-mart about 5 min from the parks and got some warm stuff (hats mainly).

Nemo the musical was totally awesome. We saw it 3 times, and wanted to go again. The music is great and the way the charcters work really ties together well.

The only really crowded days we had were Wed - Fri. Sat began to ease up and sun - tuesday we waited 20 min max for anything.

We did make the mistake to go to the outlet mall on Black Friday. I never will leave my house on that day again.

It seems the week after Tgiving is a perfect time to go if you can.

Wonders of Life opened on sunday and will be open until Jan. 1st. Body wars and cranium command are open, but I forgot how rough body wars was. As a kid I loved it. As an adult I felt very sick. I can handle almost anything, but they had no AC on in the car, it was super jerky, and just all aroung made me feel yuck. A few of the stations are open, but I see why it is closed 99% of the time. I think this and universe of energy need to go. I know they are what EPCOT was about, but EPCOT is also supposed to be a cutting edge future world not outdated. There is a lot that can be done with the human body with the newest technology. Wonders of life is just too far gone.

The new pirates was OK. The line was way to long for so few changes. We missed the tutorial which is something I really wanted to see.

Country bears were not in xmas show. CM said they would be the week of xmas and that was probably it.

We saw a lot of dream fastpasses and dream ears, but no team members. A CM on Buzz gave us a couple of fastpasses for anyride in the park for no reason so that was a little magic.

On my soapbox for a moment
I saw 4 things that disturbed me on our trip. One women was in line with us at Test Track. Stated her daughter had to be in the back and we said that was fine we have ridden this like 25 times. The duaghter cried uncontrolably the entire ride. The mother kept telling her she had no idea it was a fast ride. WHAT!!!! did you miss the signage in the cue? Did you miss the car flying around the outside turn at 65 MPH? Did you not watch the pre show? Anyway this women found her way behind us again 3 days later at EE. We were in the single rider line and she was about 10 people behind us. About 6 people behind us a man rejoined his party ( I know single rider line has no parties). People do this all the time. It was a difference of one person and they were a in the back of the line. She perceded to pitch a HUGE fit. Telling the men who spoke very little english that she spoke spanish, and "real good" (her words) english and knew what they were saying. She then got a CM involved. The men told her to go ahead of all of them. The funniest thing was that there was a man in line between the two parties. When she motioned for him to move up he said no and told her she was being a child.

A family of 3 came to the Mickey show in tomorrow land after wishes. Plenty of room in theater. The couple in front of us were there looooong before the show started and had found prime seats. The two adults and adult child came and sat next to them. they did not all fit in the space due to being pooh size and told the people to move down. The couple politly said there is room on our other side, but we got here extra early to get these seats. With a fling of not so magical words the people got up and moved to the section behind and to the left of the couple. This put them accross the walkway from me. They caught the sweep up guy CM and told him the people would not move. At this point no move all the way accross the row anouncement had been made or was ever made. The CM made the people move, but before the othe family could move into the place someone else swiped the seats and the couple were able to move back a little. I had already planned to get the seats and let the couple move back so everything worked out.

On tran to animal kingdom lot and a coupple loaded a stroller with a 5 or 6 year old in it on the tram. The back CM came and told them that they would not be able to leave until the item was folded. The dad huffed off and walked to the car as mom began to voice her opinion. " This is f%#$$ng stupid. How retarded are you? It was wedge in here it wasn't going to fall out." All of this in front of her teenage son and about 15 very young children within earshot. Dad beat the family to thier row. She had a lot to say, but did not want to walk with her husband and child and chose to stay on the tram instead.

Last one I promise - "FIGHT ON MAINSTREET USA"

Yep, Wishes is about to start, the light go out and someone starts to scream. The first single firework is shot and I am turned around to see two grown men scuffleing with each others collars and a bunch of wives trying to seperate them. The call for Security goes out, but no one comes. I look at the guy next to me and we both understand that it is not our problem they are stupid, if they were really going to get rowdy they would have already. There was no immediate danger to anyone but them so I finished wishes. Now don't get me wrong in a situation where anyone was in danger I would have stepped in and at 6'4" 275 I could have taken them for sure, but not as wishes began. How stupid can you be to fight there then during wishes.

Just because Disney is for kids for the most part. Adult do not have to act like 5 year olds.

We saw the flag retreat whick was very moving. We also saw the family fun parade which we had never seen before.

Great trip just a little odd this time.
OMG, I think when they say "Everyone's a kid at WDW", they're not referring to this kind of kid. I'm especially upset at the swearing in front of the kids. That's one of my real hot buttons-people who swear in front of kids.

:rotfl2: That serves the family of 3 right! They pitched a fit and still didn't get the seats they wanted!

People who leave their trailor and act like this in front children swear that Jerry Springer is reality TV.

We had a similar experience. The last year my father was alive we were at WDW and we were going to Fantasmic when our adventure started. At the time my dad was in a wheel chair so we were in the back with the other disabled people when some knucklehead and his two kids (teenagers) pushed passed me and my dad alsmost knocking my dad over and then pushed several other wheelchair bound people out of their way so they could get seats in front of everyone without standing in the line that was going down to the seats. Now my dad, wife, brother, his wife, and their kids were all shaken up and since being a police officer at the time I had to say something. Next thing you know all three wanted to start dancing with me. I then told them that instead of ruining everyones time and making a scene we should step outside and "talk" things over; all three backed down without a word. Now I'm not condoning this behavior but sometimes people have to stand up for their rights. With this said everyone there thanked me for standing up for them; we then told an usher but he did nothing. After that there were no problems except my dad being upset that something like this would happen when he brought us all to Disney.
It is a real shame when people act like they have the right to do anything they wish and they think they own everything; chivalry does seem to be dead.
Anyway I try not to let things like this get to me anymore now that I am retired but it is sad when I think about the last trip to WDW my dad ever took with his family and one of the things I remember is this
On a better note ---- Merry Christmas evryone!

Can't they program those finger scanners to detect idiots and then not let them into the park? That's where Disney needs to invest their R&D dollars. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) attendence would drop by half.

I don't think that fights are funny, but this one certainly is.

In fact, I don't know what's funnier, a fight during "Wishes" or the OP's decision that watching Wishes was more compelling. It'a like that line in A Christmas Story when Scott Farkus is beating up Flick and the only response Ralph has is, "But the bell rang!"

"I can't break the fight up, Wishes has started!"

Perhaps what makes this funny is that most of us would have the same response.

disneyphilip - the woman behind us was very upset that they were not and ask the CM. He said they were waiting until right before xmas. I was wondering too and decided to listen in.

Kev that is so true.

I have figured ouy is my biggest grip are they people who sit in the middle when they move across statement has been made in rides. I hate to try climbing over the family that ran past me 10 sec earlier.

On our last trip, I had a problem with another adult... My DH, DD1 1/2 & DS5 were standing in line for Lights, Motors, Action. It was a slower day last January and they weren't giving out Fast Passes. We were about 50 feet from the front of the line and the gates were about to open when a CM came up to my husband and told him to use the Fast Pass line. We didn't think much of it, we simply walked up there and started a new line. Soon they opened the gates and we were among the masses that raced to get seats - as we were walking up the bleachers a man and his young son (about 10 yrs.) pushed around us and the man was making comments about us cutting in line. He continued to bad mouth us as he climbed the stairs. It made me sick to my stomach. I wanted to go over and give the jerk a piece of my mind, but I simply drug my family to another section of the bleachers so we didn't need to sit near this guy. The whole show and the rest of the day, I felt angry at this person - and I obvious still am angry. I don't understand how people can act like that in front of their children. I kept thinking about the example he set for his son. You are in the "happiest place on earth" and you still cannot be happy - there is something seriously wrong with you.

It seems like every time I go I see families arguing and screaming at each other. I think the heat and crowds can really get to some people. Nothing is worth that, though. I think too many people try to "see it all" in one trip and they get stressed out when they realize they can't.

Some people think that just because they are at Disney, yjey can allow their children to run free without guidance. I think this, as well as the parents thinking they are entitled to something, because they paid to get in, causes a lot of the problems.

Can my kid get in front of you at the parade.....You know it is for the kids....

Well, maybe you and your kid should have gotten here the same time me and mine got here. Then you could sit in front.

Or, the kids who constantly bump into you, hang over you, etc. when you are sitting on the curb.....and mom and dad encourage it, because, its at Disney.

Or, the I need to catch up to my family routine.......Well, why didn't you stay with your family in the first place. I certainly did not see you walk out to use the head, etc.
