We were there from the 21st to the 28th. The photopass people were everywhere. We got about 100 pictures taken with them. they didn't ask this trip though the were to busy too.

I really liked the nemo ride. It was better than no ride in the seas. Turtle talk was cute, but not cute enough for a long wait. My wife and I did walk around the rest of the trip using hand on head duuuuuudes!

We found a wal-mart about 5 min from the parks and got some warm stuff (hats mainly).

Nemo the musical was totally awesome. We saw it 3 times, and wanted to go again. The music is great and the way the charcters work really ties together well.

The only really crowded days we had were Wed - Fri. Sat began to ease up and sun - tuesday we waited 20 min max for anything.

We did make the mistake to go to the outlet mall on Black Friday. I never will leave my house on that day again.

It seems the week after Tgiving is a perfect time to go if you can.

Wonders of Life opened on sunday and will be open until Jan. 1st. Body wars and cranium command are open, but I forgot how rough body wars was. As a kid I loved it. As an adult I felt very sick. I can handle almost anything, but they had no AC on in the car, it was super jerky, and just all aroung made me feel yuck. A few of the stations are open, but I see why it is closed 99% of the time. I think this and universe of energy need to go. I know they are what EPCOT was about, but EPCOT is also supposed to be a cutting edge future world not outdated. There is a lot that can be done with the human body with the newest technology. Wonders of life is just too far gone.

The new pirates was OK. The line was way to long for so few changes. We missed the tutorial which is something I really wanted to see.

Country bears were not in xmas show. CM said they would be the week of xmas and that was probably it.

We saw a lot of dream fastpasses and dream ears, but no team members. A CM on Buzz gave us a couple of fastpasses for anyride in the park for no reason so that was a little magic.

On my soapbox for a moment
I saw 4 things that disturbed me on our trip. One women was in line with us at Test Track. Stated her daughter had to be in the back and we said that was fine we have ridden this like 25 times. The duaghter cried uncontrolably the entire ride. The mother kept telling her she had no idea it was a fast ride. WHAT!!!! did you miss the signage in the cue? Did you miss the car flying around the outside turn at 65 MPH? Did you not watch the pre show? Anyway this women found her way behind us again 3 days later at EE. We were in the single rider line and she was about 10 people behind us. About 6 people behind us a man rejoined his party ( I know single rider line has no parties). People do this all the time. It was a difference of one person and they were a in the back of the line. She perceded to pitch a HUGE fit. Telling the men who spoke very little english that she spoke spanish, and "real good" (her words) english and knew what they were saying. She then got a CM involved. The men told her to go ahead of all of them. The funniest thing was that there was a man in line between the two parties. When she motioned for him to move up he said no and told her she was being a child.

A family of 3 came to the Mickey show in tomorrow land after wishes. Plenty of room in theater. The couple in front of us were there looooong before the show started and had found prime seats. The two adults and adult child came and sat next to them. they did not all fit in the space due to being pooh size and told the people to move down. The couple politly said there is room on our other side, but we got here extra early to get these seats. With a fling of not so magical words the people got up and moved to the section behind and to the left of the couple. This put them accross the walkway from me. They caught the sweep up guy CM and told him the people would not move. At this point no move all the way accross the row anouncement had been made or was ever made. The CM made the people move, but before the othe family could move into the place someone else swiped the seats and the couple were able to move back a little. I had already planned to get the seats and let the couple move back so everything worked out.

On tran to animal kingdom lot and a coupple loaded a stroller with a 5 or 6 year old in it on the tram. The back CM came and told them that they would not be able to leave until the item was folded. The dad huffed off and walked to the car as mom began to voice her opinion. " This is f%#$$ng stupid. How retarded are you? It was wedge in here it wasn't going to fall out." All of this in front of her teenage son and about 15 very young children within earshot. Dad beat the family to thier row. She had a lot to say, but did not want to walk with her husband and child and chose to stay on the tram instead.

Last one I promise - "FIGHT ON MAINSTREET USA"

Yep, Wishes is about to start, the light go out and someone starts to scream. The first single firework is shot and I am turned around to see two grown men scuffleing with each others collars and a bunch of wives trying to seperate them. The call for Security goes out, but no one comes. I look at the guy next to me and we both understand that it is not our problem they are stupid, if they were really going to get rowdy they would have already. There was no immediate danger to anyone but them so I finished wishes. Now don't get me wrong in a situation where anyone was in danger I would have stepped in and at 6'4" 275 I could have taken them for sure, but not as wishes began. How stupid can you be to fight there then during wishes.

Just because Disney is for kids for the most part. Adult do not have to act like 5 year olds.

We saw the flag retreat whick was very moving. We also saw the family fun parade which we had never seen before.

Great trip just a little odd this time.

A fight on Main Street alone is great but during Wishes is even better. Wow, folks you are on VACATION!!!

Great example to be setting for the kids, huh? Jeeze. :sad2:

We drove by the outlet mall after golf....you sir are nuts to go there. people were parked in meadiuns, on shrubs, in ditches, anywhere they could fit a car. It was crazy.

I can't believe they got into a fight on Main Street! Why can't people just let things slide?! Is there really a need to escalate the situation to the level of fighting? :sad2:

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip despite those situations! I'm glad to hear that Wonders of Life is open again. I've missed it my last few trips. I'm really looking forward to Cranium Command! :cool1: I used to love Body Wars, too, but my motion sickness gets worse as I get older. I guess I'll have to remember the Dramamene if I want to enjoy Body Wars this year!

When we were there in January a fight got started minutes before Illuminations was to begin. It was insane!

Glad you had a great trip even with all the little odd things that happened. Some people really need to learn to chill.

there is nothing more entertaining and yet so pitiful as grown people behaving like their children.....my favorite "episode" was when we where on the monorail with a whole bunch of people (SRO)...this young guy probably 20 or 21 was trying to impress this girl he was with by saying he was from new Orleans, and how he survived the hurricane....the kicker is he told the girl she should think about coming to school in New Orleans because the hurricane had been great for the city because it got rid of "THOSE" people...he even put up quotation fingers when he said it....what a winner!!!!

Can't they program those finger scanners to detect idiots and then not let them into the park? That's where Disney needs to invest their R&D dollars. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) attendence would drop by half.

It's ashame that children are exposed this nonosense. I know people are generally the same wherever the are but as adults we ought to strive to do better especially in front of children, whether they are ours or not. We pay Disney a good amount of money to be entertained, spend time with our families and enter a world of fantasy, if only for a brief period. When I see a child that has been labled a "problem" it is normally because of the example set by the parents. This is more than a Disney problem its a society problem.

People who can't "let things slide" is not the real problem; those of us who DO let things slide are everywhere. I let all kinds of things slide every day.

The real problem is the things that we are supposed to "let slide" - such as people butting in front of you at the last minute when you've staked our a spot for Spectro or Wishes or Illuminations for over an hour, or people who smoke in the non-designated areas and burn your kids with their cancer sticks, or people who cut you off because they're not happy with how slow you're driving, or people who insist on including an entire restaurant on their cell phone conversations... the list is endless.

I let these things slide every day without saying a word, although I do sometimes vent about them on teh DIS or to my friends. But honestly, people who can't tolerate rude behavior are not the problem, they are the victims - it's the rude people who are the problem.

The fight on Main Street that OP witnessed was probably just two rude people who happened to meet.

See, when two courteous people meet, they both smile, say something polite, conduct their business, and go along their merry way. When a rude person meets a courteous person, the courteous person smiles, says something polite, and gets out of the rude person's sphere of influence as quickly as possible. But when two rude people meet, that's when the sparks fly!

-----------------------------------------------------

On some of OPs other observations: I agree about WOL. I love Cranium Command, but I never liked anything else in that pavilion. And Body Wars always made me nauseous, too - but Star Tours has never bothered me even the tiniest bit. I think it's just the idea of travelling inside the human body that gets me.

The WalMart you mention is probably the new one on SR 535. It's a great, huge new supercenter that opened in 2005 and is very convenient to WDW property, so I did a lot of my sundries shopping there on my last trip.

I'm glad to hear that the PhotoPass folks are out in force. PP is a great idea that a lot of people are using, but at the start of the program they photographers only hung out in a few major areas, like the opening plazas, Partners statue, and Fountain of Nations. FYI: If you have a large group, convention, or Grand Gathering, you can arrange to have PhotoPass photographers stop by your events to take pics. Some of the MouseFest organizers have done this and we will have some PP folks at a bunch of the larger MF meets this year.

No problem with you post...but your signature info....that "blue" state that you (and i ) hail from is the armpit of America!!! I know this is off topic but Mass has the 2 biggest morons serving as US Senators. kerry and kennedy are JOKES. The "administration" from mass is much more embarrasing than the one in Washington!!!!!! end of my rant!!!! Back on topic now....when you have so many people packed into some of the areas in WDW there are bound to be tempers flaring at some point. Im surprised there arent more issues like that taking place down there. Seems to be Disney security does a great jobs putting out many fires before they start.

That is my favorite part of this thread! :rotfl2: It makes me think of the times I've said something similar! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Lets please stay on topic out of respect for the op.

Feel free to discuss other issues on the community board.

thanks for your observations. I can't believe people were fighting on Main Street and parents were cursing in front of their kids.

Hee, the only way the Wishes fight could be funnier is if it happened during Holiday Illuminations- "Let there be Peace on Earth!"

A fight broke out right behind me in line for AK to open one morning- a guy went up to talk to the CM at the gate, and the guy behind me decided that the first guy was trying to cut the line. Lots of screaming, almost resulted in fisticuffs! It's DISNEY WORLD, people!

I've would have been right there with you. I HATE people that act like that. I would have taken the seats then looked over at the other group and smiled as I let the original group have thier seats back. But I guess that would be acting like them in a way. Though the woman showed later in her trip that she really does have issues.

As I always say,,,, Never understimate the Stupidity of people.

as a fan of Poly Princess how flatered am I she read my post.

My wife and I saw someone with lime green ears on that said do you dis? She took a photo, but felt a little odd to say anything during the flag retreat.

Does it bother anyone to hear fastpass call fast track, or other rides called wrong. I heard one women tell her grandchildren maybe they could get fast tracks to "soring". that would have been fine if it had not been 5:45 on Thanksgiving. I know not everyone plans plans plans like we do though. It is really funny to hear some of the names the come up with for rides. The big golfball, test lap, the yeti ride. Most of these come out as they are looking at the map.

Off topic I know a lot of people were looking at my wife and I when I would ask her "you want to go see the buuuuutt in nemo again" and asking if her _____ (fill in blank here) gave her bubbles ( you know what I mean If you have seen turtle talk)

As adults we learned 2 years ago to take our time and enjoy. If someone is in hurry to get somewhere good luck. I did get a chance to ride EE our last time this trip as a single rider. The little body I got paired with was about 7 or 8. I work with kids, so his excitment was funny to me not annoying. He gave me a play by play all the way to the part where the track are torn up. The last thing I heard was "They did that on purpose that was what they...." after that his eyes bugged and he was unable to do anything but scream. After we stopped he picked right back up. That is part of the magic of Disney. Seeing something from a child perspective for the first time can really make your trip. that was our next to last ride of the trip and really made up for any bad stuff I had seen during the week.

Oh for Pete's sake :headache:

You'd think that people would be more courteous in the land of Disney. I have a story too. DH left early and we stayed a few days longer so that the kids could enjoy WDW at a slow pace. DS 6, DD 2 (they were below 5 at the time), and I were in a restaurant on Disney property resort. We decided to have late dinner after we got back from the parks (8:30 - 9 pm). As many parents know, they don't really sit still. The CM was great and very accomodating, but the family next to us wasn't. They looked at me like I had no business being there with my kids. The woman actually had the audacity to tell her husband that she wasn't leaving because they she wanted to make sure that the CM got his tip, eyeing me as she said this in front of her children. I'm sure the kids knew what she was talking about because one of them actually said "Fine, then I'll stay here then." I was having a bad enough night with our bags from WDW being misplaced and having this happen took the cake. I've never experienced this before (I'm Asian) and least of all for it to happen in WDW. It was a magical trip until then, Thank God my kids didn't notice anything.

Two years ago we were seated at Candlelight Processional waiting for the program to begin (Jim Cavesal)(?spelling) and a rowdy fight broke out 2 rows ahead of us between 2 middle aged men. Security massed them and broke it up. Merry Christmas!!
